Overbury Estate Day – Sundial Class will be joining other schools taking part in the Overbury Estate Day from 9.30-2.30pm.
Please see attached letter with more information.

Tesco Vouchers – Please bring in all your Tesco Vouchers by Monday 13 June as the order has to be compiled and will be
collected first thing on Friday 17 June. We cannot send any more vouchers after this date so please bring them in before the
deadline so that we can use them. Thank you.

Cake raffle – Remember to bring money to buy your raffle tickets for the cake raffle on Friday, the 17 June. Thank you to Jill
Ham for volunteering to make the cake.

Following Week

Truck Road Safety Talk – DHL are coming into school on Tuesday 21 June to talk to the children about how to be safe around
trucks. They will be bringing in vehicles to show where the truck driver will not be able to see them.

Whole school Trip to Cheltenham – The whole school will be traveling to Cheltenham to take part in various activities including a
visit to Waitrose or Chiquitas, the synagogue and library. Please see attached letter with further details.

Football Match – There is a football match at Broadway First School after school. More information will be given to the team
members shortly.

Bell Boat Regatta – Timings to be confirmed.

Other Information

Leavers’ Ball - We hope the Year 5 Children have a fantastic time at their Leavers’ Ball at Bredon Hancocks School this evening.
Remember to take your tickets.

Overbury Farms Open Day – This Sunday, remember to pre book your trailer rides.

Open Gardens – Whitcombe Overbury has an Open Garden this Sunday. Please can Tower Class parents provide cakes. Please
see your class representative for details.

Photographs – Please return you orders by ……………………………………………… Any order that misses this deadline will have to be sent
directly to Tempest Photography with a late payment fee, following the instructions on the order form. We have a few extra
order forms if anyone requires an additional one. Thank you.

Football Club - This week’s players of the match at Football Club were Charlie Ham for the boys but Martin awarded all six girls,
player of the match as they played so well.
A big thank you to Tod Phillips for all his help with the Football Club. We are sorry he no longer able to help due to work
commitments but we really appreciate all he has done for the school.

Volunteers for Girls Football team – The Girls’ Football team urgently need a volunteer to help with the football club on a
Wednesday from 3.15-4.15pm. Please see Martin Kelsall if you are able to help.

Clubs – Request for payment for the first half term clubs have been sent home today together with the forms for the second
half of the summer term. The Clubs for this half term are very similar to last half term except there is no Short Tennis Club

on a Friday. Mrs Beavis will be running an athletics club for Tower Class on Thursday lunchtimes to help them practise for
sports day. Both mini tennis and table tennis are provided only for a fixed period of time. Mini tennis last session will be on
Monday 13 June as we are closed on the following Monday. We will confirm the final date for table tennis shortly. There are no
clubs in the final week of term but there will be an in house football tournament for the Girls and Boys football teams on
Wednesday 20 July.

Play to learn – Please find attached invoices for Play to Learn for the first half of the summer term. Please use the Payments 4
schools system if possible. Thank you

Contact details - Do we have your correct contact details? Please fill in the slip below with your email address to which you
would like your letters sent and the mobile number that you would like to receive reminder texts on so that we can check it
against our records. Thank you.

Newsletters – We do need to continue to email all newsletters for financial reasons. The cost of printing, the paper, electricity
and admin hours are considerable and with the cuts in our budget this year we have to make savings and be more efficient. We
understand that some of you are experiencing difficulty accessing the newsletter through your emails. This may be because the
files of additional information eg flyers are very large. In the future we will send school newsletters and information in a
separate email to any additional flyers. We are also looking into being able to upload our newsletter on to our website much
sooner ie on the Friday so that you can access it on the day it is sent by email. We will continue to leave a small number of
newletters in the tray in the library for those of you not able to access an electronic copy. There will also be a copy put up in
the notice board on the wall at the side of the front door into reception. We will endeavour to send a text when letters go out
so you know when to check your emails.

Friends’ Reminders

Please bring in Tombola prizes for the stall on Sunday 3 July at the Pet and Pony Show. Also remember that Sundial Class
families are providing cakes and manning the cake stall at the Pet and Pony Show and Sheldon Class families are providing cakes
and serving the teas at Faith’s Open Gardens also on Sunday 3 July. Thank you.

Remember to come along to the very important Extraordinary General Meeting of the Friends of Overbury School on
Wednesday 13 July to be held at school starting at 7.00pm

Children’s Achievements – Well done to Coco Sanger-Davies who came third over all in the Multi Skills Festival on Tuesday.
Congratulations to Mattie Buckland who has passed his Yellow Belt in Karate.
