Subject: End of Course (EOC Assessments)

Dear High School Parents and Students:

Subject: End of Course (EOC) Assessments

As per Florida Statutes, state EOC assessments will be given to identified students enrolled in particular
courses in the areas of algebra, geometry, and biology. Our district testing window will be April 30 –
May 18, 2012. Each EOC assessment will have a dedicated week assigned. In each case, the semester
exam procedures as stated in the student handbook will be followed.

Students (9th & 10th) who currently have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) could be eligible for a waiver
relative to the end of course examinations. Your child's IEP team will address a possible waiver if
applicable. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to call your child's Exceptional
Student Education (ESE) case manager.
