   These classes will follow on immediately after the novelty horse and
   pony classes. Entry fees are just £2.50 before the day and £3.00 on
   the day, so come and join in the k9 fun and support our fundraiser!!!!!!

   D1: Puppies - under the age of 1 year.

   D2: Small Dogs

   D3: Large Dogs

   D4: Veteran Dogs – 8 Years and over

D5: Doggy Puissance- Dog and handler to jump a fence which will go up in
height after each round. Refusal to jump or a knock down of the fence
will result in elimination. The last one standing wins! A trophy will be
awarded to the winner of this class.
                          CONDITIONS OF ENTRY and SHOW RULES


1. Longton Riding Club shall not be responsible for any loss, injury, or death to any
persons, their animals,
property at any time whilst on the showground whether competing or not.
2. The committee reserve the right to cancel, alter, amend, split or amalgamate any class,
or substitute a judge if necessary at any time.
3. Any animal showing signs of illness or disease will be asked to leave the show ground.
4. Any exhibitors, owners or attendants who have knowingly brought animals where there
is an outbreak of
disease such as strangles will be disqualified.
5. Exhibitors must conduct them selves in a manner that will not interfere with the
enjoyment of others on the show ground. Abuse to judges, stewards and officials will not be
tolerated. Anyone found doing so will be asked to leave the showground and will not
receive a refund for any entry fees paid.
6. The judges decision is final and binding.
7. Animals must not be tethered to Club property.
8. Dogs must be on leads at all times.
9. Exhibitors must dress appropriate for their class.
10. All children competitors must wear a hard current B.S.I standard riding hat when
showing their animal.
    11. To compete in the miniature horse class the animal must be 34” or smaller in
    height . To attend M.HOYS the handler must be a member of IMPHS and the animal
    must be registered with IMHPS. Any 1st, 2nd and 3rd will qualify. To compete in the
    Small Standard class the animal must be over 34” in height but NOT Ex 42” at
    maturity. The following rules apply in the Shetland class: Shetlands 34”and below are
    eligible to compete in the miniature Shetland class and Shetlands above 34” but NOT
    exceeding 42” in height will be eligible for the Standard Shetland class . Please note if
    you qualify for M.HOYS and your animal and you are not registered with IMHPS you
    will have 14 days from the show to do so in order to attend M.HOYS. If you do not
    wish to attend M.HOYS the qualifying card may be passed down the line. Please
    know the height of your horse/pony.
12. Stallions are welcome to compete but must be correctly bitted (excluding miniature
stallions - under 42”). ALL STALLIONS MUST be handled by persons 18 years and
over at ALL TIMES.
13. No STALLIONS allowed in the NOVELTY classes N1-N4, or in classes 21 and
22.
14. All horses and Ponies must have their passports with them.
15. No horses permitted in the spectator walk ways.
16. Objections. Competitors wishing to object to the height of an animal should lodge it
    in writing to the Club
secretary with a deposit of £30. The owner of the animal will receive due notice and will
    have 14 days to produce a height certificate from a vet whom is a member of the Joint
    Measurement Scheme. If objection is found in favour of owner they may keep the £30
    deposit. If objection is found in favour of objector the £30 deposit will be
returned. All other objections must be submitted in writing with a £10 deposit. All of the
    above applies here too.
 17. CLASSES TO BE JUDGED ON BEST BREED AND TYPE. This does not apply
    to the Novelty classes, the young and junior handler and showmanship classes.
18. Winners of the Novelty classes N1 to N4, Young handler, Junior handler and
    Showmanship classes will NOT be eligible to enter the CHAMPIONSHIP PARADE,
    as the parade is judged according to rule 17. Entry fees for these classes reflect this
    and special prizes have been allocated to these classes.
19. M&M Horses and Ponies wishing to compete in NCPA and P.UK qualifying classes
    must be registered with their appropriate breed society.
21. The championship Trophies/Shields are to be returned by 1st may 2011. The winners
    must sign a release form and leave full contact details before taking the
    trophies/shields home.
      IT IS A BYELAW OF THIS SHOW THAT ONLY TACK THAT IS ALLOWED IN THE SHOW RING IS USED FOR
                          WORKING IN – NO DRAW REINS OR GADGETS ALLOWED.

    IT IS THE COMPETITORS RESPONSIBILITY TO BE ON TIME FOR CLASSES – WHILST EVERY EFFORT WILL BE
   MADE TO AVOID THE CLASHING OF CLASSES NO REFUNDS OF ENTRY FEES WILL BE MADE IN THE EVENT OF
                                           THIS HAPPENING.


    COMPETITORS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT MUSIC MAY BE PLAYED
 The committee reserve the right to cancel this event in case of inclement weather and ground conditions, but
   every effort will be made to avoid such action. If the event is cancelled due to weather and ground condition
      FULL REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN including First Aid fee’s. So please ensure you enclose all contact
                          details inc contact numbers if you are entering before the day.

   PONIES ASSOCIATION (UK)

    This show is a qualifier for the Ponies (UK) 2010 Summer National Championships to be held at The Newark &
                                                        Notts
                                   Showground, Newark on the 11th-14th August 2010.


                  Qualification for Summer National Championships
     1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses/ponies in all Summer National Championships
                                   will qualify for the
                    2010 P(UK) Summer National Championships.
   Results must be submitted to the Ponies (UK) offices within 14 days of the qualifying show with the exception of
   shows being held between 1st July and 31st July need to submit their results within 48 hours after the qualifying
   event.
                        Qualification cards will not be presented in the ring
   Competitors in qualifying positions, who are not current members of P(UK) are allowed 14 days in which to
   become
   members and register their horse/ponies in order for the qualification to remain valid. The exception being any
   competitor qualifying at a show between 1st July and 31st July must submit their membership within 48 hours
   after the qualifying event in order for the qualification to remain valid.

          2010 POLLYANNA HOME PRODUCED SUMMER CHAMIONSHIP
    These classes are open to horses and ponies that have been stabled at home since 1st August 2009. DIY livery is
    acceptable providing it is not the establishment of a professional show producer/trainer. Horses/Ponies entering
             these championships must be owned, produced, ridden or led by the owner/spouse or his/her
      son/daughter/grandchild. It is expected that exhibitors will enter into the true spirit of this competition. The
                          directors reserve the right in, their absolute discretion, to refuse an
        exhibitors entry should they be in contravention of this rule in the directors considered opinion.

   1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses/ponies in all 2010 Summer Pollyanna Home
                                Produced Qualifiers
        will qualify for the 2010 P(UK) Summer National Championships.
               Qualification cards will not be presented in the ring
 ALL RIDERS/HANDLERS MUST APPLY TO BECOME EITHER JUNIOR/SENIOR RIDERS CLUB MEMBERS
           WITHIN 14 DAYS OF QUALIFYING IN ORDER FOR THE QUALIFICATION FOR
                THE SUMMER POLLYANNA CHAMPIONSHIP TO REMAIN VALID.

     This show is a qualifier for the N.C.P.A. Pony of the Year Show 2010 and the
    Part Bred Welsh Ridden           Championships to be held in conjunction with the
         Pony of the Year Show at Warren Farm, Equestrian        Center, Formby.
      Merseyside. LA37 OAN on the 5th September 2010. First, second, and third
     prizewinners in appropriate classes will qualify and highest not qualified in the
                   first six for Part Bred Welsh in appropriate classes

 The Veteran Horse Showing Ltd Olympia Area Qualifiers are open to both Members
 & Non Members of the Veteran Horse Showing/Society. Please note all competitors
       should acquaint themselves with the rules of the VHS they can be found at
  www.veteran-horse-showing.co.uk . That ONLY Veteran Horse Society Members
are eligible to compete in the Regional Championship. Qualification cards will ONLY
    be given the first 3 Members with their V.H.S. Membership/Horse Registration
cards/Covering Letter from Show Office. The Regional winners will go on to compete
    at the Veteran Horse Showing Ltd Championship Supreme Final at the London
                  International Horse Show at Olympia in December.
