     Paul J. Scheck – President-Elect

Over the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of serving as an advocate and

Treasurer of the Executive Council. I have also served two terms as a member

ad Litem in numerous pro bono cases. My past experience also includes
serving as the Young Lawyers’ Section President and as a three-term member
of the Young Lawyers’ Division Board of Governors. I have also previously
served as the Chairman of Law Week and the Ask-a-Lawyer program, and as a

     Nicholas A. Shannin – Treasurer

Thank you for taking the time to read about the candidates for the 2012-2013
OCBA Executive Council. I am proud to currently serve as Secretary and look
forward to serving you as Treasurer. I have served multiple terms on the
board as a representative, and as past-president of the Young Lawyers Section
and the Legal Aid Society Board of Trustees; I intend to put that experience to
good use in helping steward the resources of the Bar on your behalf.

My background is that of an appellate and trial litigator. I am a Board Certified
Appellate Lawyer, rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and have
assisted many of you with regard to answering your appellate or attorney’s
fees related questions. Appellate attorneys are all about the details, a skill set
that should prove useful when I’m working with the OCBA staff to ensure our
books are balanced and our budgeting is planned and followed in a manner
that supports our Bar both now and into the future. I appreciate your support
and look forward to serving you next year.
