Current Role     June 2008 - present
                 Senior ActionScript Developer - BBC Future Media & Technology
                 I helped build the BBC Embedded Media Player (EMP), which is used to stream video/audio content across
                 BBC websites, in particular the iPlayer and BBC News & Sport websites. Subsequently I helped build and
                 deploy the BBC iPlayer Desktop software using Adobe AIR. I had specific responsibility for guiding the
                 refactoring of the EMP software, and for prioritising requirements for the iPlayer Desktop software.

                 Development of web-based educational software “RealSmart”, and associated projects, using
                 ActionScript 3 code built and compiled using FDT/ Eclipse/SVN, Flex builder SDK, PureMVC framework

                    AS3 Developer – W J Linney, Mansfield
                    Produced interactive screen system for Post Office conferences, including modules for displaying BBC TV news/
                    weather/travel feeds, SMS text messages, and other XML content, using AS3. Worked with one ASP developer
                    and one graphic designer, using Visual SourceSafe for version control.

                    Produced fully interactive photo-real banner advertising at this Soho video production agency, for clients
                    including Toyota and Unilever. Used AS2 object-oriented programming, physics modelling and
