We are writing to ask for your support. Girl Scout Troop _______ is volunteering to run an activity
for 800 younger Girl Scouts, teaching them about Healthy Living during the Girl Scouts of Nassau
County’s Girls Go the Distance Walkathon. The event is on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Old
Bethpage Village Restoration, where almost 1000 girls, volunteers, family members, and corporate
and community sponsors will participate in a 2 mile walk and fun filled day packed with Healthy
Living activities. All funds raised will support the Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Healthy Living
Initiative. We ask that you show your support for us by donating (requested item) for our project.


Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Healthy Living Initiatives are designed to provide girls with the
knowledge and skills needed to live a healthy lifestyle. Programs connected with the Healthy Living
Initiatives encourage girls to set healthy and sustainable life goals— physically, socially, and
emotionally balanced through fun, educational, hands-on activities.
