Title: OTR Site Assistant
Reports to: OTR Operations Manager
Organizational Overview:
3CDC is a private, non-profit, real estate development and finance corporation focused on revitalizing
Cincinnati’s urban core in partnership with the City of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati corporate
community. 3CDC’s work is specifically focused on the Central Business District and in the Over-the-
Rhine neighborhood (OTR). 3CDC invests in and develops residential, office and retail properties,
parking facilities and civic spaces.
Position Summary:
A key component of Over-the-Rhine revitalization is the OTR district management plan; this plan
includes all aspects of operations in Over-the-Rhine including managing the safe and clean programs,
and events, at a newly redeveloped outdoor public space at 14th and Elm streets in Cincinnati known
as Washington Park. Functions include; overseeing production, beverage sales, facility components
and security. This position is full-time.
Position Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not necessarily limited to, working with the
Operations Manager to accomplish the following:
Participate in interviewing and recruiting of seasonal staff.
Training staff with an emphasis on customer service and safety.
Scheduling and approving work requests.
Completing opening and closing procedures in adherence with existing company policies and
procedures.
Writing and maintaining daily reports of activities including incident reports.
Performing weekly facility/district inspections and reports.
Carry out vacant building maintenance to include utility monitoring, repair bids, and reporting.
Contract management including completive bidding and ensuring compliance.
Assist in the management and execution of 3CDC and third party produced events in
Washington Park.
Assist in the management of 3CDC parking facilities and programs including the garage at
Washington Park, the parking lot at 12th and Vine Street and the OTR Valet parking program.
Position Qualifications:
Personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people
(both internal and external). Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
Excellent organizational skills, work habits, and consistent follow-through.
Able to make good decisions quickly in stressful situations.
Sense of initiative with desire to become truly involved in the business and the downtown
community.
Job requires lifting (e.g. beer cases, bags of ice, bags of salt) and significant time on one’s feet
in the elements.
Be able to work holidays, primarily evenings and weekends.
Work Experience and Educational Background:
Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related degree
program is preferred.
Relevant event management or other facility management as well as event management
experience required.
General building/facility maintenance experience (electrical, carpentry, and/or equipment).
