         YEN PRESS LAUNCHES AN iPAD
                STOREFRONT
NEW YORK, JAN 14, 2011 – Today, Kurt Hassler, Publishing Director at Yen Press,
announced the release of the Yen Press app, a digital manga and comics storefront and reader on
the iPad.

The app is free to download, and will include volumes of some of Yen Press’ most popular
series: including MAXIMUM RIDE, GOSSIP GIRL, DANIEL X and NIGHTSCHOOL. Users
will be able to preview and purchase volumes directly from the app, and get notifications when
new titles and series are added to the library. The app also allows readers access to downloads of
extended previews, standalone short stories, and creator and editorial commentary.

Yen Publishing Director Kurt Hassler said: “We’ve wanted to explore the digital possibilities of
manga for some time, and the size, image quality and portability of the iPad really make it ideal
for showcasing this material for a wide audience.”
