									                              Citrix Client Update instructions
If you are using Citrix remotely, Information Technology Services recommends updating Citrix
client to the newest version available online.

Below are instructions on how to do that. Hold the CTRL key down and click on one of the
following links below to take you to the appropriate instructions:

            Windows 7/VISTA

            Windows XP

            Citrix Client for MAC




                 Window7/Vista Citrix Client Uninstalling Instructions
Note: The Citrix Client will NOT work with 64 Bit version of Internet Explorer. You MUST use the
32 Bit version.

First, you need to uninstall any old Citrix clients. Go to Control Panel and click on Programs and
Features then choose Uninstall and select Citrix online plug-in web. See screen shots below.




After uninstalling any Citrix clients, go to the Citrix Client Installation page. Hold Ctrl key

                    Windows XP Citrix Client Uninstalling Instructions
If you are using Citrix remotely, Information Technology services recommends updating Citrix
client to the newest version available online. First, you need to uninstall old Citrix client.

Uninstalling old Citrix Client

Go to Control Panel and click on Add Remove Programs, then select Citrix online plug-in web or
any other reference to CITRIX and then select Remove.
Select Yes when prompted to confirm you want to remove the Citrix client from your computer




After uninstalling the old Citrix Client close Add or Remove Program screen and Control Panel




After uninstalling any Citrix clients, go to the Citrix Client Installation page. Hold Ctrl key
and click on this link to take you to the page: Citrix Client Installation Instructions

Hold down the CTRL key and click on the link below to download and RUN the latest version of the Citrix
Client:

On Receiver for Windows page, click                  Download For Web Access Receiver




                                                                             Click

                                                                              Download your file manually
Select Run CitrixReceiver.exe




         Windows 7/Vista                                                    Windows XP




** Please wait while the program finishes the installation.

Select OK once installation completes




May close the Citrix Download Manager page and the Citrix Downloads page.

Once the installation is completed, need to add the site
https://mydesktop.york.ca/vpn/index.html to your Trusted Sites within Internet Explorer.

Launch Internet Explorer by holding CTRL key and click on this link:
https://mydesktop.york.ca/vpn/index.html and choose Tools, Internet options

Click on the Security tab

Click on Trusted Sites and then on Sites




Copy and paste the address that is in the browser https://mydesktop.york.ca/vpn/index.html into the Add
field and click Add

Then click CLOSE and then OK
Restart your computer after the installation is completed to ensure all settings take effect

You can now go ahead and login to Citrix with the link:
https://mydesktop.york.ca/vpn/index.html

Use your network account username and password.

                 Mac Installation Instructions for Citrix Client(Reciever)

         Note: Instructions for Mac is limited. If you are having issues installing the MAC client
         please contact the IT Service Desk during regular business hours and they may be able to
         assist(currently not a Regional standard and not supported)

1. Go to Citrix download page for the Receiver for Mac .dmg file
   http://www.citrix.com/English/ss/downloads/details.asp?downloadId=2315306&productId=1689

2. Select Download and download the .dmg file for the version of Receiver you want to install and
     open it. This runs the Disk Utility program, which mounts the file as a disk image accessible from
     your Macintosh desktop.
3. On the Introduction page, click Continue.
4. On the License page, click Continue.
5. Click Agree to accept the terms of the License Agreement.
6.   On the Installation Type page, click Install.
7. Enter the administrator account details for the device on which you are installing Receiver and
     click OK.
