Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye! In the Kingdom of Good Sam, in the land of Mary’s Land, a
proclamation has been issued. This proclamation is declared that as the reign of William and
Esthermay, from the house of Brooks, comes to an end, a great Faire shall be held within the
courtyard of Frederick. The drawbridge shall be lowered and the gates shall be opened wide to
allow the easy arrival of both great and small carts and chariots. This decree shall be sent to all
neighboring Kingdoms and all shall be welcomed into Mary’s Land for such a grand celebration.
All the people, be ye Lords, Ladies, Dukes, Dutchesses, Gypsies, visitors, peasants, workers or
knights, maidens and of course, wenches, shall be summoned to the Faire.
Lady Marie and Lord Frank, under the House of Watkins, encourage all the children of the land
to attend for a special program. Fun and games await the arrival of the children fair.
Lord William, under the House of Roberts, will provide sufficient stableling to keep your carts
and chariots charged. Water will be available throughout the Kingdom, if every person attending
this great Faire will encourage the flow along (with Y’s & hoses).
Entertainment and Merriement shall abound. The Royal Court Jester’s arrival shall signal the
start of a Parade of Pageantry for all to behold and some to participate therein. The Kingdom’s
Honorary guests will bestow great prizes upon the heads of those whose finery has no equal and
for those whose chariots and carts best capture the essence of the celebration. Games of skill
shall be open to all for the amusement of the High Court. Prizes shall be awarded to those that
are most skillful in the games and contests. Three nights of entertainment await those coming
from far and near. Bring your dancing slippers and seats for comfort in the Great Hall. Tours of
Mary’s Land most beautiful sights will be guided by Kingdom guides on Thursday and Friday at
no extra charge to subjects coming to the Faire. A new Kingdom winery is open with a free tour
on Thursday and our favorite winery tour is open on Friday.
A High Court Dinner shall be available to those who choose to partake. The bathing of hands
will be greatly encouraged before indulging in such good food! Only the best of the Kingdom’s
fine fowl and freshest vegetables will be prepared for the grand feast. A special treat awaits those
that clean their plates.
The Kingdom’s scholars, wizards and wisest advisors will impart their great knowledge to all
who wish to learn of wonderful things like travel throughout other kingdoms, and how to prepare
great feasts for friends and family.
The Marketplace shall be open for all to enjoy, for some to sell their wares, for others to sample
fine food and broths, to meet and greet the reigning monarchs of other kingdoms and to purchase
the elite membership into the land of Good Sam & the protection offered for your cart or chariot.
The grand matriarch, Shirley, from the House of Bass will present unto the newest subjects (First
Timers’s) in the land of Good Sam a wondrous program to teach them of the bountiful things to
partake of so that life in the Land of Sam can be more fun .
Gypsies from near and far will arrive with their wares, be they cloak, cookery, gadgets, finery,
essentials, games, books, tablets, jewels and signs. They will have such variety as to make your
heads spin and your pockets lighter. Each will have a special number that should it match your
special number they will give you an extra prize!
Come one, Come ALL to the Renaissance Faire: Knights, Maidens and Wenches! There will be
food, fun and friends aplenty. Something for every subject in the Kingdom to enjoy.
Ale, Wine, “Mead and Grog” consumption at your private chariot only.
No pets allowed in buildings, only Service animals.
