FAM 5K FUND RUN/ WALK 14th ANNUAL FALL EVENT SAT. SEPT. 22

COBLESKILL (September 14, 2007) – The 14th running of the FAM 5K Fund Run/
Walk is one week away. Over 500 participants will be at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds at
10 am Saturday, Sept. 22nd to compete and try to beat the 2006 record of 14:38 set by Mr.
Alene Reta. The FAM 5K is sanctioned by the Adirondack Association of USA Track
and Field.

Fenimore Asset Management, Inc. (FAM) is a value-oriented investment advisor
and manages FAM Value and FAM Equity-Income mutual funds. FAM as host is
committed to assisting the community and will make a donation to this year’s charity
recipient: the Schoharie County Community Action Program (SCCAP). To date, over
$20,000 has been generated through fundraising efforts.

The FAM 5K Mission Statement is to endorse and promote the qualities of
family, good health and service to the community. Since 1992, the race embodies a spirit
of togetherness and is made possible by the runners, walkers, volunteers and associates
which include many families. Over 100 volunteers will cheer participants on and direct
them at the start and finish. FAM will award the annual Community Participation Award
to the Cobleskill Police Department for their coordination.

Over the years FAM has donated over $100,000 to various organizations on a
rotating basis – Catholic Charities of Schoharie County, Catskill Area Hospice and
Palliative Care, Habitat for Humanity of Schoharie County, Schoharie County ARC as
well as this year’s recipient Schoharie County Community Action Program. SCCAP
strives to “provide consumers with the resources and skill necessary to enhance their
quality of life and achieve self reliance.”

Post-race, families of participants and volunteers enjoy Brook’s barbeque,
community booths, raffle drawings, face painting and more. And don’t forget the Kid’s
Race which starts at 11 am!

FAM looks forward to hosting everyone next weekend for what promises to be
another record breaking race. Join us to make this 3.1 mile event a highlight of the fall in
Cobleskill.
