School Goal:    To articulate and document all current curriculum maps for publication

Needs Assessment: All courses and electives at Wilmington Middle School have an approved curriculum that is
aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks; it is necessary to record all current information regarding
course objectives and goals in a consistent and transparent manner.

Specific Objective: To have teachers, parents, and students have the ability to view all curriculum maps in a user-
friendly manner

School Goals:
    To have aggregate and all student sub-groups meet their improvement target
    To decrease the number of students in the MCAS Needs Improvement and warning Performance
       Categories in Mathematics, English Language Arts, and Science & Technology

Needs Assessment:
 2010 MCAS scores indicate the need to decrease the number of students who perform at the Warning Level in
  Mathematics, English Language Arts and Science & Technology.

 2010 MCAS scores indicate the need for improvement for 2 sub groups (Special Education and economically
  disadvantaged) in English Language Arts and 2 sub groups (Special Education and economically disadvantaged)
  and the aggregate in Mathematics. Our NCLB Accountability Status is defined as Corrective Action for ELA
  and Restructuring Year 1 for Math.


Specific Objective:
    To demonstrate Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in Mathematics and English Language Arts for all students

Needs Assessment: Per the new Massachusetts Anti-Bullying Law, we must provide ongoing interventions and
                 educational programming for all students

Specific Objective: To foster a climate within the Wilmington Middle School that supports our Mission Statement:
                   Wilmington Middle School will provide a safe learning environment for all students and will
                   inspire academic and social confidence, promote citizenship, and encourage responsibility
                   resulting in well-rounded individuals.
