National Basketball Association is one of the four major sports leagues in North America. Since
the year it began it has evolved through many stages. But it has managed to stay as one of the
most loved and followed sport in the country. Basketball Association of America and its rival
National Basketball League merged together to form, National Basketball Association. In 1946,
it started off with 11 teams but it currently has 30 member clubs. Twenty nine of those are from
the United States and one from Canada.

During the 2004-2005 NBA season, an new organizational method was introduced. The teams
were divided in to two conferences (Eastern and Western Conferences) and three divisions. Each
division will have five teams.

Over the last sixty years, the Boston Celtics emerge as the most successful team of the NBA.
They have won the most number of championships by winning 17 NBA finals. The Los Angeles
Lakers come second with sixteen championships. Chicago Bulls follow them with six
championship wins.

In the last decade, the Western Conference has dominated the scene. The San Antonio Spurs and
Los Angeles Lakers have been stolen the championship nine times in the last thirteen years. Only
in 2006 and in 2011, the Dallas Mavericks have managed to win the conference title.

In the last decade, NBA saw talented players like Tin Duncan, David Robinson, Shaquille
O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. The 2008 Olympic basketball team brought together many great
players in one team. It was called the Redeem Team but it was popularly also known as the
Dream Team. It featured players like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Dwight
Howard, Jason Kidd, Deron Williams, Chris Bosh, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony.

In 2010, an All Star Game was held in Cowboys stadium in Texas. This was a Online Trivia
