About the Job

State Street Digital is the Milwaukee Journal Sentinels digital ad agency. Excellent opportunity

Design, planning and construction of Web sites, online advertising and e-mail marketing using
programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash. Work closely with the Web Design
Manager and design team to support the efforts of our Sales, Editorial and Marketing teams.
Provide strong design concepts, user-interface design, branding and visual aspects of our
services. Must be familiar with the concepts, practices and procedures of our field.

1. Produces graphic sketches, designs, and copy layouts for online content, advertising units
and e-mail marketing.

2. Produce hand-coded HTML/XHTML of designs and layouts that meet internal requirements
and that of the end-user.

3. Use Flash to produce online advertising units, interactive visual elements, and use
ActionScript creatively in projects for visual effects and to maintain file size requirements.

4. Contribute to the development of web projects in the areas of information architecture,
conceptual development, navigational and user-interface design, look-and-feel, graphic design,
branding, SEO, and marketing for internal and external clients.

5. Research the competitive landscape to make recommendations on improvements relating to
JSOnline.com and our clients projects.
6. Work with agencies, vendors, customers and other departments to educate and support
others in regard to our skills and products.


   Understanding of web usability and information architecture required.
   Must have experience with the latest version of Flash (including Action Script
      3.0) Photoshop, Illustrator, BBEdit and other web authoring/motion graphic tools.
   Strong understanding of HTML and CSS needed. Experience with JavaScript
      DHTML, PHP and specifically CMS editing tools such as Clickability and WordPress a plus.
   Must have BA degree or equivalent experience.
   Prefer 3-5 years web developing and design experience working in a fast-
      paced creative environment.
