Training Executive
Regional Service Team
Nature and scope
The Citizens Information Board (CIB) is the statutory agency responsible
supporting the provision of information, advice and advocacy to the public on the
broad range of social and civil services.
The Regional Training Executive will, as part of the Regional team, be responsible
for the development and the delivery of training services to CIB customers within
the designated Region and will, on behalf of the region, act as the key contact
person with the central training resources of the organisation.

The Regional Manager
Responsibilities
Strategic and development
1. Contribute to the formation and review of strategies at national and regional
level particularly in relation to the development, support and delivery of quality
training to CIB customers.
Services to Clients and Customers
2. Advise and co-ordinate the identification and prioritisation of training needs
at regional level in conjunction with the regional team.
3. Prepare and implement a Regional Training Plan in consultation with the
Regional Team and central Customer Service & Training team.
4. Co-ordinate the delivery of and deliver (as appropriate) training programmes to
CIB’s customers.
5. Advise and contribute to the central Customer Service & Training team in
relation to the development of training policies and resources.
6. Oversee the preparation of regional training evaluation reports.

7. Monitor the level of resources required to deliver training programmes and
advise the Regional Manager accordingly.
8. Assist in the development and maintenance of management information
systems pertaining to training delivery and expenditure.
Organisation
9. Co-ordinate where appropriate, and in consultation with the Regional Manager
and HR & Administration Service, the delivery of internal staff training within
the region.
10. Participate in special projects and joint working arrangements in consultation
with their Regional Manager.
11. Participate in training and development programmes/courses to maintain and
improve performance and to assist in identifying self training and support
needs
12. Undertake such other duties as may be agreed from time to time with the
Regional Manager.
13. Participate and work within a Performance Management Development System process,
as developed under the Partnership process in the CIB. (PMDS aligns CIB’s Strategic
Plan and implementation plans with each staff member’s work output and
performance).
14. Represent and promote the organisation, attend and participate at conferences
and seminars as required
