Definition                                                                                     Nevada
Children without Health Insurance is the percentage of “children under age 18
                                                                                               Nevada ranked 47th on the percent of its children uninsured
who were not covered by health insurance at any point during the year.”1
                                                                                               in 2007 (1 = best, 50 = worst). Seventeen percent of the
                                                                                               state’s children were without health-insurance coverage.
                                                                                               At 115,000, Nevada ranked 30th among the states on the
                                                                                               number of uninsured children.
