GO INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME
• The General Secretariat of International Economic Relations and Development Cooperation of the
Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs has designed a plan of Economic Diplomacy activities in order to
exploit the comparative advantages of the Greek economy and encourage Greek enterprises to be
more outward-looking.



• For the successful implementation and effectiveness of these activities, it is vital to ensure the
cooperation of Greek enterprises for the development of a strategy for a new direction of growth
for the Greek economy.



• Since June 2009, Eurobank EFG Group has been closely cooperating with the Associations that
represent the exporting corporations, the tourism industries and the business community, initiating
and coordinating actions in the direction of promoting extroversion in Greece. Many of these actions
have been supported by the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aiming to improve the bilateral
trade relations of Greece with other countries and increase Greek market share in selected
international markets that are strategically important to our country.

GO INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME
•   Eurobank EFG Group, is a European banking organization with total assets of € 87.2 bn, offering
    universal banking across 10 countries through its network of 1,600 points of presence and a human
    force of over 22,500 people. Eurobank EFG is the second largest bank in Greece.


•   “Go International” is implemented by Eurobank EFG Group in cooperation, with the three main
    export associations of Greece, Greek International Business Association (SEVE), the Panhellenic
    Exporters Association (PSE) and the Exporters Association of Crete (EAC). It operates under the
    auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


•   “Go International” is a major initiative, in its design and scope. It aims to create a strong and
    extensive network of contacts for the promotion of bilateral trade in the wider region of the
    Eastern Mediterranean and South Eastern Europe. The program was designed to evolve gradually
    over a wide geographical area in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe where Eurobank EFG
    group has an established presence: Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Poland, Ukraine, Turkey and Cyprus
    as well as including peripheral countries.

    GO INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME
•   The “Go International” Programme is structured in a series of events, each of which includes a
    networking framework (Partenariat format) for one – to – one (B2B) business meetings focused on the
    conclusion of business and trade agreements.


•   The aim of “Go International” is to become a powerful platform for creating business ties in the
    region and for the emergence and development of the export potential of Greek businesses, either
    through the expansion of already existing collaboration networks, or by initiating their entry in the
    field of international competition.

‘CYPRUS: GATE OF GREEK ENTERPRISES TO THE ARAB WORLD’
 •   The first Business Delegation of the ‘Go International’ Programme took place in Cyprus on
     February, 7th and 8th 2011 and was characterized as very successful with 1.000 business
     meetings (B2B) between exporting firms of the wider region taking place. The business
     meetings were pre-arranged.


 •   More than 240 enterprises attended, of which 90 were Greek exporters and 150 businesses
     from Cyprus and five Arab countries: Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt.
     The enterprises operated in the sectors with the greatest potential for multilateral trade:


        Food, drinks & various food supplements products
        Boilers, engines, mechanical devices & parts
        Chemicals & Plastic materials, iron, steel, cast iron,
        Pharmaceutical products
        Clothing, footwear & accessories
        Beauty essences & make – up products
        Publishing products

‘CYPRUS: GATE OF GREEK ENTERPRISES TO THE ARAB WORLD’
•   In collaboration with well-known Research Centers in Greece, Eurobank EFG invited 14 innovative
    companies of High Technology & Services to participate in the Business Delegation.

•   The B2B Meetings concluded with a Business Forum, where amongst the keynote speakers were:


   Mr Spyros Kouvelis, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece
   Mr Antonis Paschalidis, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus,
   Dr Saleh Jallad, Group Vice President, Consolidated Contractors Company, Treasury, Insurance
    & Relations*
 Mr Christos Folias, Chairman Arab – Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Development
 Mr Nikolaos Karamouzis, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Eurobank EFG group and
 Mr Michalis Louis, Chief Executive Officer, Eurobank EFG Cyprus Ltd

    GO INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME BELGRADE
•    The next ‘Go International’ Business Meeting is planned to take place in Belgrade on October, 24th –
     25th 2011.

•    The scope of this initiative is to underline the business opportunities that Serbia and the wider region
     of South Eastern Europe offer and enhance the bilateral trade.


•    In cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the countries which offer the most promising trade
     and business opportunities were identified and it is proposed to include        companies form these
     countries in the Delegation:
                    Bosnia
                    Montenegro
                    Slovenia
                    Croatia
                    Hungary
                    Russia

GO INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME BELGRADE
•   In order to make this Greek export business initiative a success and achieve the goal of concluding
    new business agreements for the Greek export companies, the participation of a significant number
    of companies for each peripheral country is essential. The meetings between exporters from Greece
    and Cyprus and importers from Serbia as well as the wider region will be again pre-arranged.

•   Your cooperation and assistance is vital in order to ensure the participation of at least 15 companies
    from the country you are responsible for, that hold a leading position in the following business
    sectors:
       Food - drinks
       Water & Irrigation systems & Filters
       Energy
       Building materials, engines, mechanical devices & parts
       Chemicals
       Plastic materials, iron & steel
       Pharmaceutical products and Cosmetics
       Clothing, footwear & accessories
       Consulting services

GO INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME BELGRADE
•   In order to approach the top companies per business sector, we propose to arrange meetings with the
    senior management of the company in question as well as with the Management of the Chamber of
    Commerce in your country with the scope to explain the initiative and request their support.


•   Eurobank EFG will take advantage and motivate its corporate client base in Greece as well as in
    Serbia and invite them to participate. More specifically, Eurobank EFG has 6.500 corporate Groups of
    companies in Greece, 200 Large Corporate & 7,000 Small Medium Size companies in Serbia.


•   In addition, the three Greek Export Associations that participate in the organisation of the event
    (SEVE, PSE, SEK) will invite their members in order to have a widespread attendance of Greek export
    companies.


•   We will also be requesting the assistance of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Greek Serbian
    Business Council as well as of the Hellenic Business Association by inviting them to be part of the
    organization of this event and inform and motivate their members to participate.
