Public Relations Metrics Dashboard
Instructions:
Use this tool to track and measure your public relations activities and results.
1. In the "Placements Log" tab, record your placements. Track date, media source, author, channel, type, and tone (positive, neutral or negative).
2. Rank the overall impact (scale of -5 to 5) taking into account the quality of the placement, the reach, tone, and relevancy to determine an arbitrary impact rating.
For example, a highly critical story in an obscure media source with low circulation might warrant a -2 for Impact. Conversely, a favorable review that is also a cover
story of a prominent publication could receive a 5 for Impact.
3. In the "Metrics" tab, add historical data, set goals, and track each metric proactively. Some of these are auto-populated as indicated by the light tan shading.
4. View the automatically generated Dashboard charts for each metric in the tabs below.
