Dear 1st and 3rd Grade Parents,
Monday Day 2
Students have been working very hard in music class to Tuesday Day 3
prepare music programs for you. These programs will
be taking place on Thursday, April 19th. First grade will Wednesday Day 1
be performing a fun show called “Gettin’ Down With

Mama Goose” at 6:00 P.M. Third grade will be perform-
ing a variety of fun jazz and swing tunes at 7:00 P.M. Friday Day 3
Please have students dress up for the program. A letter
was sent home this week.

Celebration for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. Please make sure our visitors

Fishers Area Swimming Tiger Summer Stroke Evaluations at FHS
The Fishers Area Swimming Tigers (FAST) are offering stroke evaluation/open house nights from 5:30 PM to 7:00
PM April 11 & 12 and 18 & 19, 2012 (Wednesdays and Thursdays) or by appointment. Open houses are held at the
Fishers High School Aquatic Center,13000 Promise Road, Fishers, Indiana 46038.
Almost everyone attending the open house is accepted to the team provided they can swim 25 yards of freestyle and
backstroke. Lessons are also available. If you cannot attend one of the open house dates, please contact the club
and we'll be glad to arrange for a time that is convenient. Swimmers may start at any time during the season.

Fishers-HSE Youth Baseball – Opening Day will take place on Saturday, April 21 with activities beginning at
10:00 a.m. at Billericay Park. It will be a full day of fun with games, food and snack vendors, family activities,
silent auction, a Pitch, Hit and Run competition, team pictures and much more!
Fishers-HSE Youth Baseball still has volunteer spots available for Opening Day on April 21. Just a reminder

Fishers Girls Basketball – The Lady Tigers basketball program will be offering camps for all ages and skill
levels over the next several weeks. Camps are $60 each with discounts for attending multiple camps. Grades
are for 2012-13 school year.

Fishers-HSE Youth Baseball – Attention parents of baseball players in grades 3-8: Parents who wish to
schedule their shifts to work in the concession stand (to receive their paid deposit back), please visit the base-

Fishers-HSE Recreational Cheer Program will be enrolling girls who will be in kindergarten - 6th grade for fall 2012. Regis-
tration starts Saturday, May 1 and will finish on May 31. Our first uniform fitting is scheduled for May 1. Everyone who has
completed all their paperwork and has paid their registration fee by May 1 will receive a FREE cheer DVD and a $5 coupon to

Mark your calendars for a HUGE garage sale on Saturday, April 21, 8 am - 12 pm at Fishers Junior
High School gym. The garage sale is coordinated by Fishers Tri Kappa and proceeds benefit needy

Kim and Marissa Manlove are Indianapolis parents who transformed
the death of their son, David, from substance abuse and addiction into
an opportunity to educate.
Their son died in a drug‐related drowning accident.
Kim is now passionately involved in local and national substance abuse prevention
and education programs. He and his wife, Marissa, have told their story at the
National Press Club in Washington, DC, have appeared on the CBS Morning Show,
Good Morning America and various TV and radio programs to discuss the dangers
of substance abuse. They are co‐chairs of the Parent Advisory Board of the
Partnership at DRUGFREE.org for whom Kim also serves as a National Parent
