Darr Beiser Upon hearing that the Times photo staff was laid off, I decided to host a party— thinking a party at someone's house would be a whole lot cheaper than having it at a bar and more intimate. So the invites went out via Facebook and email and a whole buncha people descended on my house Jan 8. Everyone brought food and drink. It was awesome! We wanted a picture of the final staff at the Times and then a photo of everyone at the party who had ever worked at the Times. Kind of impressive to see the talent that's come out of that place. Many former Times-ers sent messages via the Facebook event page. It was very touching.
