Guidelines with respect to the type of materials that can be used for promotional purposes

Introduction
This is a summary of an internal Schiphol airport working paper containing a description of the materials tested on
the basis of their fire safety and use in the Terminal complex. All materials should be tested by Schiphol airport to see
if they comply with the airport’s fire safety requirements. All parts have to meet fire class 1 with a smoke density of ≤
5.4 m–1 or class 2 with a smoke density of ≤ 2.2 m–1, in which case the 5% rule applies.
The information provided is subject to changes in insights and circumstances.
If you would like to have some advice on materials that do not appear on the list or on alternatives, please contact the
Schiphol Media Traffic Manager, Ronny Haimé, tel. +31.20.601.3059, mail haime_r@schiphol.nl.
The tests shall be executed in accordance with NEN 6066 and NEN 6065 or CE conform.
