   Maintained $100,000 a year budget, and kept within budget. Budget included new
    workstations, servers, operating systems, software, software upgrades, Internet, Digital phone
    system, Digital faxing system.

   Managed servers and workstations for Houston office and remote office in San Diego.

   Wrote a project plan to virtualize many of the servers. The FTP server was going down
    weekly. Now the virtualization FTP server only goes offline for server maintenance.
    Virtualization of the email server for easier server to server fail over.
   Managed backup Dell Autoloader tape system with Symantec Backup Exec 12. Worked
    with Dell and Symantec to fix issues with Autoloader and backup software.
   Wrote cost analysis plan to evaluate long term savings. Upgrade cost was under $600 and
    included adding addition tapes to rotation and tapes to be taken offsite. Saved company
    thousands of dollars by changing the backup procedure to increase backup timeline 4 fold to
    require less time which reduced server response. The new offsite tapes are to be taken offsite
    weekly on rotation. Setup monthly offsite tapes backups.
   Wrote business analysis plan to find we would save the company a lot of money by installing
    backup batteries on the computers. Even with short power flickers the amount of work, and
    the data loss. The backup batteries paid for themselves after one power flicker.
   Supported, upgraded, repaired, configured, and installed hardware and software on desktop
    computers, laptops, servers and other electronic equipment
   Configured Juniper routers, Gigabit switches, network printers, wireless access points and
    other network attached devices
   Solved issues with direct faxing and voicemail system.
   Designed and created intranet web sites using Dreamweaver for developing the website and
    Photoshop to edit images for the website hosted using Microsoft IIS.
   Started web conferencing which was used to join our home office, remote users, San Diego
    office, and our clients.
   Upgraded office from two bonded T-1 lines to three bonded T-3 lines. I had the bonding fees
    removed saving the company money.

Sept. 2006 – May 2008        Technology Developer                               Roxar, Inc.
 Wrote invoices for software rental. Invoices ranging from $1,500 to $45,000+.
 Supported Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Database. Lead a global team to fix
   issues with the Microsoft SQL CRM database. Work included working with Microsoft and
   other 3rd party vendors.
 Used VMware to test and develop servers in virtual environment before deploying real time
   environment
 Created and managed Access databases for tracking client usage of the Roxar Software
 Used OpenSpirit to maintain connection between multiple databases like Halliburton
   Landmark OpenWorks®, and Schlumberger GeoFrame while using RSS software.
   Install and supported Roxar Software Solutions (RSS) 3D modeling software
   Established license servers for RSS software. Created server setup to update a website
    nightly that displayed license usage and user usage for the RSS software.
   Interviewed vice-presidents, developers, sales team, administrators, and other users of the
    conference and training room to get a better idea what is needed and would like to see
    changed. Helped redesign the training room and conversation room to include newer dual
    projectors that are smaller, brighter, and quieter. Now the lights can be left on during
    presentations and without disrupting the meeting or training class. Enhanced the functionality
    of the room by setting up two projectors with the ability to show 3D models easily while
    keeping separate presentation screens. Researched projectors for conference room, training
    room and for offsite presentations
   Developed a business cost analysis for phones, data communication services, current and
    new cell phone technologies available. Researched and supported PDA phone for VPs, Sales
    Team, Developers, and Administrators. Used Outlook Web Access (OWA) to sync email,
    contacts, calendar, and task without the need of buying an additional server saving money in
    new hardware and time setting up new hardware and new software.
   Researched, procured and developed current technology.
