MaleSurvivor Experts Will Attend the Opening of Sandusky Trial; Will be
Available for Interviews
New York, NY, June 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- MaleSurvivor Executive Director Christopher M. Anderson,
MaleSurvivor Advisory Board member Marci Hamilton (author of Justice Denied: What America Must
Do To Protect Its Children) and MaleSurvivor Communications Director and Past President Curtis St.
John will be in Bellefonte, PA Monday, June 12, 2012 for the opening day of the Jerry Sandusky trial and
will be available for interviews with media throughout the day. Sandusky is charged with 52 counts of
sexual abuse of 10 minors over the span of 15 years.
In an op-ed published this week in the Daily Centre Times in State College, PA MaleSurvivor Executive
Director Christopher M. Anderson said, “[T]he needs of victims require all of us to support these brave
young men as they seek justice in the coming weeks, and healing in the coming years.”

childhood sexual abuse, Mr. Anderson has overseen MaleSurvivor's efforts to bring support to the Penn
State community in the wake of the Sandusky scandal. In April, MaleSurvivor held public awareness
events in State College and Altoona and training sessions for Penn State psychological staff led by
MaleSurvivor Weekends of Recovery Co-Chairs Dr. Howard Fradkin and Jim Struve, LCSW.
Marci Hamilton is the Paul R. Verkuil Chair of Public Law at Cardozo Law School in New York City.
Professor Hamilton is the author of Justice Denied: What America Must Do To Protect Its Children. She
is one of the nation's leading legal advocates on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse. In a recent
Justia.com article Professor Hamilton said, “No state has two instances of institutional cover-up and serial
pedophilia within its borders as Pennsylvania now does. With all of its knowledge gleaned from these
investigations and these trials, the State of Pennsylvania could, if it so chose, become a leader in the
movement for the legal reforms that are needed to protect children.”
Professor Hamilton was named to the MaleSurvivor Advisory Board in May 2012.
MaleSurvivor Communications Director Curtis St. John is a former President of MaleSurvivor. Mr. St.
John is also a survivor of sexual abuse and a passionate advocate for male survivors of sexual abuse.
