THE MISSION OF MID-WILLAMETTE VALLEY COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY IS TO STRENGTHEN
OUR COMMUNITIES BY ENCOURAGING AND ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TOWARD
SELF-SUFFICIENCY THROUGH PARTNERING. SALEM-KEIZER TOGETHER IS A PROGRAM OF
THE MID-WILLAMETTE VALLEY COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
To manage, develop and coordinate the overall programmatic operations Salem-Keizer Together (SKT) Drug
Prevention Network including development and implementation of all program goals, and administrative procedures
and systems; financial management and budgeting; and compliance with grant outcomes and objectives. Other
responsibilities include program leadership, staying informed on Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) issues,
and collaborating with other agencies and community partners to reduce the abuse of ATOD in our community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
   Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution, ATOD prevention and project management
   experience and a minimum of three years supervision or management experience; or an equivalent
   combination of training and experience with a willingness to obtain training as required.

   COMMUNICATION SKILLS
   Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures,
   or governmental regulations.
   Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
   Ability to effectively present information in a public forum.
   Communicate effectively with coalition members, community partners, key leaders, policy makers and the
   general public on a daily basis.
   Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

   OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
   Demonstrated word processing proficiency.
   Demonstrated ability to manage a computerized database.
   Bondable.
   Excellent writing and organizational skills.
   Experience with computer assisted publication design and layout desired.
   Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
   Excellent telephone skills and ability to work with diverse public.
   Ability to work some weekend and evening hours as requested.

   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
   Valid Oregon driver's license and insured vehicle available for use on the job or acceptable alternative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee will also perform other reasonably related
business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

   Manage, develop, coordinate the overall SKT Drug Prevention Network program
   Maintain effective working relationship with SKT Planning Board members
   Attend Director meetings and other meetings as assigned by Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency
    on SKT’s behalf.
   Work closely with Mid-Willamette valley community Action Agency’s Executive Director to ensure SKT’s
    direction and mission is accomplished.
   Develop, manage and maintain the SKT budget
   Assure reports, bills, etc are well maintained and completed on time
   Supervise all SKT staff: hold staff meetings and assure staff’s ongoing development via workshops,
    conferences and one-on-one meetings.
   Work closely with the SKT’s Executive Committee on direction of SKT’s programs and direction.
   Identify, recruit, and train new SKT Planning Board members and committee members
   Oversee the SKT’s strategic plan
   Research, develop and write future grant applications as well as pursue new funding sources to insure
    sustainability for SKT.
   Maintain positive and productive relationships with all of SKT partners and other Community Action programs
   Establish new partnerships with local Faith Community and Business Community
   Continue and enhance current SKT’s programs.
   Communicate and follow verbal and written instructions.
   Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will supervise all SKT staff.

coalition members.
