      National Achievement for Cinema’s Opening

Worksop’s brand new cinema is celebrating this week after it was announced as the
highest-grossing independent cinema for blockbusting film, Journey 2: The Mysterious
Island 3D across its opening weekend.

The 3D science-fiction adventure film starring Michael Caine and Vanessa Hudgens
brought in a larger audience at Worksop’s brand new Savoy cinema than any other
independent cinema across the country this weekend.

Managing Director for Savoy Cinemas Ltd, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for our
opening weekend and reinforces how worthwhile and valuable our investment in
Bassetlaw has been – there is clearly a huge demand for films, especially 3D titles, and
we’re delighted to be able to cater for this.”

For the chance to see Journey 2 in 3D make sure you visit Savoy cinema before Thursday
29 March when it will removed from the line up to make way for the hugely-anticipated
3D release of Wrath of the Titans and Street Dance 2, both of which are due for
nationwide release on 30 March.
