End of the Day Class Shared reading including Nursery Rhymes, informal letter recognition

10 – 15 minutes planning for the next day.
Preparation Period This period should include appropriate curriculum and activities. This
45 minutes period will be moved according to specific, school based needs.

leading into centers. Discussion of the day’s activities, name songs, and finger

20 minutes Discussion of the flow of the remainder of the day. Children choose centers.
Center Time All recommended centers are open. Students engage in centers of their choice.
60 minutes Teacher and assistant interact with children on a small group/one-one basis
