Event to Discuss Franchising Options, Opportunities

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., - Franchise Network (FranNet), the nation's most established
franchise consulting firm, will host a free, educational “Meet the Franchisors” event on
Thursday, April 26th at 4:00 p.m. on the Western Michigan University Grand Rapids
Campus at 2333 East Beltline near Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids.

The event will cover all aspects of the business of franchising and feature an array of
speakers including John Kohler, West Michigan Area Developer with Sports Clips and
Britt Blakeley, a small business funding expert with FranFund. Also discussed will be
navigating the wide range of format opportunities that exist, including in senior care,
fast-casual dining, commercial and residential services and many other industries.

“People often become overwhelmed when considering the start of a franchise
business,” said FranNet franchise coach Brigitte Betser. “With more than 3,000
franchise options in more than 80 different industries, it can often be a daunting task to
choose the right one. It is important to first look inward, to goals, skills and motives in
order to find the right match and ensure success.”

In recent years, franchising has become an increasingly more viable option for investing
and supplementing income, as demonstrated by industry growth numbers. According to
the Franchise Business Outlook Report for 2011, beyond the traditional retail and food
franchises, business services franchises enjoyed combined revenues of $124 billion
while employing nearly 1 million professionals nationally in 2010. And the upward trend
is continuing with a more diverse potential franchisor emerging.

We used to see more individuals entering franchising who had been downsized by the
manufacturing industry, “ added Betser. “Today, we also see professionals looking for a
second income, investing for heirs or simply those seeking more flexibility and greater
security in their careers and lives. Additionally, there are more financial options than
ever getting involved in the franchise marketplace.”

The “Meet the Franchisors” event is free and open public, however, space is limited.
Please RSVP by April 23, 2012 online or call 616-
