January 19 – Panel Discussion: Social Media and Mobile Application, featuring
Professor Jason Kuruzovich. Sponsored by the Center for Economic Growth
(CEG) Techconnex program, 5:00 pm, Wolf’s 1-11, Wolf Road, Colonie.
January 20 – Mock Interview Fridays: 30-minute interview practice sessions for
MBA and MS candidates. Interview dates are January 20, 27; February 3, 10, 17,
24; and March 2. Sign up and pick up a handout with a list of questions to
prepare in Student Services (PITTS 3200). Contact Sonja Francis to sign up for the
first session on January 20.
January 23 – Rensselear Alumni Network (RAN) Industry Conference Call: RPI Alumni Networking Initiative, David
Gertler ’83, ’84G. This program is for Rensselaer alumni who wish to meet other alumni in their industry for networking,
career advice, and professional growth. The discussions on these calls will address industry trends, career guidance and
share insights among peers. Mondays, 8 pm through March 19.
January 24 – Foundry-RPI Information Session. Students from Foundry-UTAH will be available over Skype to discuss the
value they found in the program, and we will discuss plans for how the program is to run at RPI. 6 – 9 pm, Lally 104,
January 25 – Venture BPlan Series. Are you a start-up looking for funding? Are you a Venture Capitalist waiting for the
next best thing to knock on your door? Come to a Venture BPlan Series program. 7:30-9:30 am, Alumni Conference
Center, Heffner Alumni House.
January 27 – Deadline: RPI Business Plan Competition Submissions. All RPI Business Plan Competition submissions
must be received by the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship by 5:00 pm. Electronic
submissions sent to email@example.com are preferred. If hand-delivering, please go to PITTS 4104 to submit.

February 2 – Lally MBA/MS Career Presentation: Recruitment Team from Barclay’s Capital featuring Carlos Recalde .
RPI alumnus Carlos Recalde will again lead a team of Barclay’s Capital Alumni to RPI and the Pittsburgh Building to
promote internship opportunities at their firm. Barclay’s Capital is a global financial services and investment firm with
offices all over the world and the team is specifically looking to recruit for the Summer Technology Analyst Program.

February 7 – Lally MBA/MS Career Presentation: Bob Scaringe, CEO, Mainstream Engineering. RPI alumnus Bob
Scaringe will speak on his company, his career as a CEO and the value of his RPI degree in managing a technology-based
company. This visit coincides with his annual recruiting trip to campus and he will be accompanied by current
Mainstream employee Albert Gasser MBA ’12. Time and location to be determined.
