									                         Business Administration MBA—
                           Montclair State University
                             at the Communiversity

Admission Requirements:
Applicants must have earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or
university, and submit GMAT scores, references, a personal statement, and a current resume.
        For details, see http://sbus.montclair.edu/mba/admission_requirements.html.

How to Apply:
The preferred method of applying is through the online application at
http://www.montclair.edu/graduate/prospective/app.shtml, where you also may download an
application, or request one be mailed to you. You may call the Graduate School at Montclair State
        University at 973-655-5147.

Application Deadlines:
MBA applications are processed on a rolling basis, and may be submitted at any time. However,
there is usually only one Communiversity MBA cohort each year, beginning in February (see
http://sbus.montclair.edu/mba/saturday_mba.html for details). You will want to submit all your
credentials as far in advance as possible of the start date to be sure your application can be
reviewed. Typically, a decision will be made in 2 weeks; you’ll be notified when a decision is
made, and then will have an advising appointment with the MBA Director.
Part-Time/Full-Time:
This is a Saturday only MBA program, divided into eight (8) ten-week terms of two (2) three-credit
courses per term. Students can complete their MBA degree in just under two years. See
        http://sbus.montclair.edu/mba/saturday_mba.html for complete program details.
Location:
The Communiversity classes are held on Brookdale’s Lincroft campus. While program delivery is
primarily on-site, there may be distance learning components to selected courses.
Tuition:
The cost to NJ residents is $635.31 per credit for 2008-2009 academic year; non-NJ residents,
        $854.99 per credit.
Waivers
Up to five core courses (15 credits) may be waived based on prior coursework, undergraduate or
graduate, with permission of the MBA Director; the remaining 33 hours must be completed
        through Montclair State University.
Transfer Credit:
A maximum of two courses (6 credits) of similar graduate coursework taken at another AACSB
graduate school, not credited toward another degree, with grades of B or better and with
permission of the MBA Director; maximum combination of waivers and transfer credit, five (5)
        courses (15 credits).
