Hosted by Parsons”

market environments of the past 50 years. Leading firms have figured out distinctive and creative
ways to differentiate themselves and gain the loyalty of today’s demanding shopper. To showcase
strategies for winning consumer attention and loyalty, Fashion Group International and WGSN will
join together to host a not-to-be-missed panel discussion- “Courting the Consumer in Today’s
Marketplace: A WGSN and FGI Trend Discussion Presented by Parsons”- on Tuesday, December
8 at 6pm at Parsons the New School for Design (560 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY).

WGSN Retail and Events Editor, Claire Hamilton, will sit down with 4 fashion leaders to share key
insights into communicating with the new generation of consumers. Attendees will learn about the
best strategies for:

     •   winning customers in our hyper-competitive markets;
     •   building brand loyalty when saving money seems to be the only thing on shoppers’
         minds; and
     •   using social media and innovative retail ideas to stand out from the crowd.

The panel for this exciting session are Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, Founder & Chief Merchandising
Officer for the Gilt Groupe; Deanne Schweitzer, Head of Global Strategy for lulemon athletica;
Raina Penchansky, Vice President of Global Communications for Coach; and David Carroll,
Assistant Professor of Media Design at Parsons, The New School for Design. Following the panel
discussion, audience members will have the chance to ask questions of our influential panellists.

This seminar is the second industry event to come from a partnership unveiled between Fashion
