                               INFORMATION FOR HOST ORGANISATIONS

ERASMUS for student internships and LEONARDO DA VINCI for graduate internships are sub-programmes of the
European Union’s Lelong Learning Programme to foster practical vocational training and European mobility policies.
One aspect of the programme to help to achieve these aims is student mobility to enable improved vocational
training to prepare for the professions of tomorrow, to prepare and experiment with new ways and new methods.
Students from all European, EFTA-member states and Turkey carry out work placements in companies abroad as a
means to apply their practical knowledge, gain work experience, and develop their language skills.

              CONDITIONS OF THE STUDENT / GRADUATE INTERNSHIP EXCHANGE

ERASMUS Internships for Students
        Duration of the internship              3 - 12 months
        Amount of ERASMUS Grant                 Between 100 - 400 EURO per month financial contribution to
                                                 cover a portion of living expenses

LEONARDO Internships for Graduates
        Duration of the internship              2 - 6 months
        Amount of LEONARDO Grant                about 500 EURO per month financial contribution to cover a
                                                 portion of living expenses.
                                                 Amount varies according to host country
                                                subsidy for travel and language preparation

Contribution of Office for EU-Internship Exchanges, EU-Hochschulbüro
                                                Search for students with suitable qualifications
                                                Preparation of the internship exchange
                                                Payment of grant
                                                Organisational support during and evaluation of the internship


DESIRED FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION FROM THE HOST COMPANY:               a minimum of 200-300 EURO/month

STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS: The      applicants are either university students or graduates from all fields of study. They
usually have a good working knowledge of foreign languages and are highly motivated to gain new experiences
abroad. It is advisable that the host organisation makes sure that the language skills of the student or graduate
they wish to employ are satisfactory prior to offering the student/graduate an internship.
HOW YOUR COMPANY CAN BENEFIT BY HOSTING AN ERASMUS STUDENT OR LEONARDO GRADUATE:

You will work together with an additional qualified employee who has acquired special knowledge and new skills,
who can
    work on a specific project for a set period of time and/or on special tasks needed in your organisation
    assist your company in establishing or expanding its international networks & collaboration
    offer a high level of foreign language skills
