							RDOs REPORTS - NOVEMBER 2010

Bristol and District RDO Report - 24.11.10 - Neil Loader

 Club meetings with: Cleve RFC, Barton Hill RFC, Whitehall RFC, Aretians RFC,
       Avonmouth RFC and Southmead RFC.
 Whole Club Development Plan surveys set up for Cleve, Southmead, Whitehall
       and Aretians.
 M and Y SoA achieved by Cleve RFC and has selected to move straight onto
       Whole Club SoA.
 MEND. We are working with BCC to deliver an exercise programme for obese
children. David Hilton will be delivering the exercise part with a rugby twist. My
aim is to help raise the self esteem of some of these children and show them our
sport has a place for every body shape. We will be sign posting the children to our
clubs if they wish to continue exercising after the course.
 CVOC. I have met with Avon and Somerset Police regarding the delivery of tag
rugby in schools. I am hoping to mirror the Child Victims of Crime work done by
Gloucestershire Police in the North of the County in Bristol.
 RL. I have attended a meeting between RL and the RFUW. RL are going to deliver
a RL programme in schools in Bristol. There are no women’s RL so they have
agreed to sign post the girls to our RU clubs.

Also to book meetings with GRFU Sector Heads to get a better understanding of their role
and how I can assist.

I also need to re-book a meeting with Active Gloucestershire CEO and GRFC Head of
Community Dept this month.

I am having CPD sessions with my fellow RDOs to help me get up to speed with RFU
working practices and products.
