							                            Guidelines for Group Project/Assignments
Save these guidelines to refer to for future group projects and assignments.

The assignment or project is due to me in person at the beginning of class on the due date. Work
should not be handed in via my mailbox in the administration building.
If you can not be in class on the due date, have your partner hand it in, have somebody give it to me
during office hours or before or after class, or ask the division assistants in the division office in S31 to put
in my division mailbox in that office.

Each person in the group should participate in the assignment or project.
If I discover that some partner(s) did not participate except to include their name, the person who did
not participate will receive a grade of 0.

Each person bears responsibility for the correctness of the work and the quality of the work, the
diagrams, and the summary. When you put the project together to hand in, meet after class the day
before it is due to review it, or exchange your portions of the project by e-mail with ample time to review,
comment, and make any changes needed. Each person should review ALL the work. If you believe
your partner’s work is not correct or have questions about their work, you both need to discuss it to come
to an agreement as to what you want to hand in. I will not increase one person’s grade over another’s if
you tell me that your portion was correct but your partner’s was not.

If you have a disagreement with your partner that you can not resolve, then you should see me
during office hours at least two days before the due date. We can discuss ways to resolve these
problems as it specifically pertains to your assignment/project and your group. If you see me during
office hours the day the assignment/project is due, then you may not have time to adequately resolve
the problems by the time you need to hand it in.

I may (or may not) ask who completed which portions of the project and which portions were completed
jointly.

There may be a quiz or exam question based on any group project or assignment.
