Adobo Festival invades Sacramento
T he 5th Annual Adobo Festival is invading Sacramento
on August 21 & 22. This is a follow-up to the suc-
cessful festival in Union City last July 17 & 18, 2010.
True to its vision of celebrating food and music, the Adobo
Festival has been created to capture the cultural camaraderie
of various communities around California. The warm recep-
tion given to the festival these past five years has brought to
the idea of holding it twice a year in different areas. And now,
Sacramento will get a taste of it.
The coming festival promises a galore of fun, food and entertainment.
Different activities were planned to delight the crowd. Expect surprises
at the Adobo Cook-off Contest where different variations of adobo will
be presented like Adobo Sushi, Crispy Adobo Flakes, coco milk filled
adobo and a lot more. The Kiddie Popstar Competition will showcase the
powerful singing voice of our talented tykes.
