							Weight-Loss-Friendly-Summer-Nutrition
Aside from being the hottest season, summer is also known as the most
calorie-laden of all seasons. There are several reasons why the summer
months pack the most horrifying calorie punch. First of all, during the
hottest months of the year, very few people keep up with their physical
activity (especially if they are accustomed to working out outdoors).
Second of all, the summer often entails numerous pool parties, back yard
barbeques and ball games. All of these get-togethers signify an abundance
of hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, potato salads, ice cream treats, and
cocktails. Trying to maintain a healthy diet during the summer is one the
most difficult aspects of weight loss. In this article I will provide you
with several beneficial tips regarding healthy summer nutrition.

Instead of high calorie meats, opt for skinless chicken breast, lean port
tenderloin, and lean ground turkey.
Instead of mayonnaise rich salads (such as potato salad), try making
your side dish with low fat mayo, low fat sour cream, or low fat yogurt.
It is also beneficial to make an old fashioned lettuce salad with fat
free dressing (or just a splash of olive oil and vinegar).
Learn to say no to calorie laden cocktails. Just one Long Island ice
tea can have more than 520 calories. If you must have an alcoholic
beverage, try a glass of wine of a wine spritzer.
Summer is a time for ice cream treats. If you are hosting a back yard
barbeque, instead of ice cream, surprise your quests with chilled
watermelon and other deliciously cool fruit. Even an ice cold smoothie
with fat free whip topping is delicious.

If you are serious about attaining quick weight loss then you need
to make sure that your summer diet is low in calories. At times,
controlling your appetite may seem difficult, in these times it is wise
to try various herbal remedies, such as appetite suppressing hoodia
gordonii.
