TRÓCAIRE’S MESSAGE FOR THE FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT: “...Honour your mother, and never abandon her all the days of your
life. Do all that she wants, and give her no reason for sorrow.” (Tobit 4:3). This fourth Sunday in Lent we think of mothers all over the
world who endure daily hardship so their children might have the chance of a better life. We think particularly of Betty, the mother of the
little boy on the Trócaire Box, who has suffered so much but has still managed to raise her family and provide hope for their future. For more
information on the Lenten campaign visit or call 1850 408 408.
TRÓCAIRE BOXES are available in the church porches. This Lent your donations will help to break the cycle of hunger and poverty in the
world’s poorest countries. With your help, Trócaire can support families in their efforts to grow more food and earn an income that will
enable them to improve the quality and dignity of their lives. Just €2 a day during Lent can dramatically change lives.

If your lips you would keep from slips
Five things observe with care:
Of whom you speak, to whom you speak
And how and when and where.
If your ears you would save from jeers
These things keep meekly hid:
Myself and I and mine and my
And how I do and did.
Human nature is what makes kids like to write on wet cement.
