									Job Title:                   Sales Manager – The Kassam Stadium Complex

Responsible to:              General Manager Stadium

Job Purpose:                 To undertake research, promotion, marketing and sales activity to drive
                             revenue and raise the Stadium and hotel’s profile in order to achieve the
                             top and bottom line sales budget, particularly in relation to key markets
                             as agreed. . The focus will be on local and national based clients and
                             contact and knowledge of the MICE markets are a must. The role will
                             require pro-active sales and key account management and you must be
                             someone with a passion for events and people. Raising the profile of the
                             complex through appointment generation, client nights, trade exhibition
                             attendance and marketing campaigns will be the key to success in this
                             role and if you are someone with relative experience and have excellent
                             communication skills that this role could be for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Development Activities

   Deliver agreed revenue targets at the stadium & Hotel

   In conjunction with the other senior managers in the unit, to assist in the preparation of the
    Stadium & hotel business plan and budget and to regularly review strategies in order to
    achieve the budget.

   To manage existing accounts as agreed with the General Manager and Director of sales.
    These will be primarily locally based accounts or accounts with business only for the unit.
    Within these accounts, to build up relationships, identify needs and develop strategies to
    maximise the revenue from them.

   To develop direct sales for concerts, sponsorship and non sporting football events

   To drive all local sale activity through face to face client appointments

   To identify new accounts (eg from telesales, local papers, contacts etc) and identify potential.
   To research and identify new activities and events that would generate revenue at the venue.

    To research specific industry sectors that have successfully used the venue in order to get
    more business from other players within the same sector, e.g. banks, motor trade etc.

   To develop new markets for the business and look at all revenue generating areas across the
    business.

   To keep up to date with the facilities and promotions throughout the Firoka group and to
    actively promote other properties where appropriate, ensuring that business is kept within the
    group when it cannot be accommodated at Oxford.

   To participate in sales blitzes or telesales campaigns as required.

   To organise and host Fam trips and show rounds as required, ensuring that the Stadium &
    hotel is always portrayed in the best light and that our flexibility is used to meet the client’s
    individual requirements.

Advertising and marketing

   To ensure that all advertising and marketing is carried out within budget guidelines and
    properly authorised in line with company purchasing procedure.

   To plan all advertising spend in liaison with General Manager and Director of Sales.

   To be responsible for the printing of Stadium collateral (brochures, flyers, marketing material
    etc) where it is specific to the Stadium, ensuring that the D.O.S. is kept aware so as to avoid
    duplication or conflict of interests.

   To ensure that all advertising and print material maintains a consistent image in line with
    agreed brand identity.

Communications

   To attend and contribute to Revenue meetings (weekly) Senior team meetings (fortnightly)
    HOD meetings (monthly) and other meetings as requested.

   To keep other members of the team informed of activities in progress and success to date.

   To maintain close working relationships with the Revenue team and the Area sales team in
    order to ensure seamless sales activity and no duplication of effort.

   To have a weekly 1 to 1 with the General Manager, to update on progress and agree key
    activities.

    To prepare a summary of activities and successes at each period end for inclusion in the
    Period Pack.

Security/Legal

   Adhere to all legal requirements for the business, including Licensee Responsibilities, Health
    & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental Controls.

   To support the Stadium Management of day to day activities, especially in accordance with
    Fire, Health & Safety Regulations and Employment legislation

Additional Responsibilities
 To implement and support The Firoka Group’s initiatives and programmes as requested.

   To adhere to company image standards.

   To be fully conversant with and adhere to Fire Procedures, Health & Safety Policy and all
    other legal requirements.

   To ensure total confidentiality is observed in the execution of your duties.

   Any other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time by the General
    Manager.
