Yes, you'll probably sweat as you work out. While it may be tempting to just jump back into the same
exercise clothes you wore yesterday, put on clean workout wear each day. Fabrics can trap
pollutants, dirt and grime -- not to mention odors -- and you'll be transferring that junk back onto your
skin. When you're done with your routine, put those clothes into the hamper.

Choose exercise outfits that aren't clingy or tight. Your garments should breathe and be comfortable.
You'll feel better, and your skin won't be irritated by your clothing. Sweat will evaporate more readily,
too, allowing your skin to breathe.
Of course, when you're done with your workout, you not only have to get out of the dirty clothes, you
have to wash off the sweat and grime that has accumulated on your body. Don't wait to take a
shower. The sooner you clean up your skin, the less chance bacteria has to aggravate your acne.
Don't use harsh soaps or washes, which will strip your skin of natural protecting oils, causing
increased oil production, and making acne worse. Use gentle cleansers and avoid water that's too
hot. Don't stay in too long, either, as that will dry your skin, and the cycle of too much oil production
will kick in again. Dry off gently, too.

Protect your skin with a moisturizer that's made to treat acne. If you find one doesn't work for you,
there are many others to choose from. Trial sizes are usually available, so you don't have to make a
big commitment to a brand that isn't suited to your skin type.

Acne needs to be treated on many fronts. Unfortunately, it's not usually just a matter of finding the
right wash or cream. But one concrete step you can take toward improving acne breakouts is to get
your whole body working as efficiently as it can, and that means getting enough exercise. Get your
