                                                                  year, 2012 ,however we are fortunate to have one extra day, since 2012 is
                                                                  a leap year. You may think that is simple since we do this every four years

                                               One of the cornerstones of Reform Judaism is social action. This year Temple Sinai is striving
                                               to make our congregation more proactive in this undertaking. We need your help. Please
                                               volunteer for our programs were are putting together to fulfill this mission. If you have a

                                  Gary Phillip Zola is the Executive Director of The Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American
                                  Jewish Archives (AJA) and Professor of the American Jewish Experience at Hebrew Union College-
                                  Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) in Cincinnati. The AJA is the world’s largest free-standing
                                  research center dedicated solely to the study of the American Jewish experience. Zola’s interest in
                                  enlarging the public’s access to the AJA’s holdings has spurred dramatic growth in The Marcus
                                  Center’s programmatic activities, its website and online resources. Join our congregation for a

O    ver 100 Temple Sinai members turned out
for the temple's first congregational Shabbat
dinner, which was held recently prior to a Friday
              night Shabbat service. Chicken,
              brisket, pasta and salad were
              served, along with challah and
              wine. Men's Club volunteers
              planned and organized the event,
              which was so well-attended, plans
              are underway to repeat the much-enjoyed event
              in the future. Rabbi Malcolm Cohen and Cantor
              Mariana Gindlin added D’var Torah and music to
the evening. A big “thank you” to Ronen Rahaman and Howard
Beckerman for helping to make the evening a success!
