NURSE IMPLANON TRAINING
LETTER OF SUPPORT
As the current Line Manager for ……………………………….
I can support the attendance at the theory and practical sessions
for sub dermal implant training.
There is an identified contraceptive need for clients and the
opportunity for the provision of long acting contraception
(Implanon) would complete this package of care.
As professional guidance to maintain competence, it is stated a
minimum of 12 insertions and 5 removals is achieved throughout
the year.
If removals are not achievable in the area of practice to maintain
competence then arrangements should be considered with the
specialty area.
It is the nurses own professional responsibility to maintain this
competence.
