					How To Clear Up Acne
No one likes acne, but many people have it. Are you plagued by this bothersome skin condition?
Have you tried just about everything you can think of? Well, we have some new ideas you may have
not tried yet. The following article contains some tips that you can try if you are sick and tired of
dealing with acne.

There are two different main acne medications in over the market products. There are salicylic acid
and benzoyl peroxide. Chances are, if you are using products geared to clear acne, the main
ingredient is one of these two medications. If your current products contain benzoyl peroxide, buy
new products that contain salicylic acid. And if you are currently using salicylic acid, switch to benzoyl
peroxide. Sometimes our skin just gets used to one thing and it stops working. Switching things up
should really help.

Another great thing you can do to help you get rid of acne is use a spot treatment. Spot treatments
usually contain one of the two main acne fighting medications, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
They are designed to be used on a blemish or developing blemish. It is best to put it on the spot as
soon as you even think a pimple might be forming. Follow the directions on the treatment, some say
to put on a couple times a day, some want you to use it more. Just be careful not to overuse it as it
can dry out your skin since the medicine is a little stronger than that used in medicated face wash or
lotion.

Be careful how much you exfoliate your skin. While exfoliating is important, it is also important not to
overdo it. When you exfoliate you are removing dead skin from your face. That's a good thing. If you
exfoliate too much, you are simply irritating your skin, and this can lead to more pimples.

Wash your face twice a day. Washing your face is one of the best ways to remove acne causing dirt
and bacteria. When dirt and bacteria seep down into your pores, and the pores get clogged, that is
what causes acne. By keeping your face clean, you are helping keep it acne free. Just like exfoliating,
though, do not do it too much, a couple times a day is usually enough. Washing your face too often
can irritate it and cause blemishes.

If you have been consistent in washing your face a couple times a day, treating your blemishes and
you haven't seen improvement in a couple weeks, it may be time to contact a dermatologist. A
dermatologist can offer more suggestions once he sees your skin. He may also decide to prescribe a
medication for you to take orally or one for you to apply to your skin. These aren't magic and require
consistency to work.

You can manage your acne by following a comprehensive routine. Keep on fighting it and you will be
staring at beautiful skin in the mirror before you know it.
