JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
POSITION OPENS: March 19, 2012 – March 28, 2012
Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Executive Officers the
HR Generalist will develop, direct and coordinate human resources activities
including, but not limited to: employment compensation; worker’s compensation
administration; employee relations; recruiting; benefits; training and
compensation/job analyses reviews. Maintain and update personnel files; find
candidates to fill job vacancies, write job descriptions, assist employees, maintain
internal controls and work in a collaborative effort with the Executive Officers on
business plans, recruiting and policies to ensure consistency.
A qualified candidate will: Conduct background checks. Post all job vacancies.
Primary contact for all parties seeking information. Coordinate advertising for job
openings; schedule interviews and prepare interview documents. Conduct
orientation and training for new employees. Maintain personnel files and medical
records. Maintain records of employee’s driving status, proof of vehicle insurance.
Coordinate Drug and Alcohol Screening program. Ensure compliance for all
divisions with appropriate labor laws and regulations. Analyze and administer
employee benefits. Provide information where judgment is necessary in the proper
handling of confidential information. Implement and maintain automated HRO
systems, Payroll and Time Keeping systems.
Qualifications must include: Possess High School Diploma or GED.
Associated Arts or Science Degree preferred; work experience and professional
certification may be substituted for degree. Minimum of five years of progressive
responsibility in human resource management. Strong oral and written
communication skills. Strong computer skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply,
divide, calculate percentages and ratios and prepare charts and graphs. Must be
able to maintain extremely high level of confidentiality. Must have valid current
driver’s license and must be insurable. Must be available during non-business
