SWFC Premier Soccer Tryout Process

Tryout Overview ~
Tryouts consist of two (2) evaluation days for each age group. While it is not required to participate in both evaluation
days, it is strongly recommended that players participate in both evaluation days. Attending both evaluation days will give
the players a greater opportunity to demonstrate their ability for the evaluators. Players that are currently on a SWFC
Team should come to both tryouts.
Upon completing registration, the players will go to their assigned warm-up areas. No one other than the evaluation staff
will be allowed on the field during tryouts.
Tryout Registration Details ~
Registration and Warm-ups:
Registration for each age group will begin 30 minutes PRIOR to the evaluation start times. To speed up the registration
process, parents should complete the registration forms prior to arriving at the tryouts. Forms are located on the SWFC
website (http://sportsworld.cc/swac/) and on the home page of the Sports World website www.sportsworld.cc !
Registration forms and information needed:
SWFC Hot Card with contact information (player and PARENT e-mail address ~ street, town, state and zip code,
home; and cell phone numbers).

SWFC Medical Release Form
1x1 player photo ~ headshot.
Every effort will be made to fairly evaluate each player based on their performance throughout the tryout process. Using
the tryout evaluations, the head coaches and evaluators will determine the rosters for each team. The final roster for each
team will be determined by the head coach. Maximum roster sizes will be based on CJSA rules for each age group.
Final roster decisions will not be open for debate between parents and the evaluation staff, including the head
coaches. Parents should not attempt to contact the head coach, evaluation staff or any SWFC staff to inquire
about the status of their child’s offer. Conversely, representatives of SWFC will not address any inquiries
regarding player rankings, roster decisions or coaching selections. All evaluation results and decisions will be
kept completely confidential.
Players may be offered a position to train with the team. Training Players will be allowed to practice with the team but will
not receive a player’s card or be put on the roster to play in games. Player status may change at the discretion of the
head coach and will be addressed on a player by player basis.
Approximately 1 day - one (1) week after tryouts, each player will receive notification of their status by the Head Coach.
The following is a brief explanation of the options:
- Offer for a roster spot
- No offer
- Offer to become a Development Player (Training)
Players offered a position on a team will have a maximum of 1 week to accept the SWFC offer. Team roster positions will
not be held open for players who are unable to commit during this time. Once the initial offer is made, the player will
receive an e-mail containing all the SWFC forms necessary to join the club and roster the player. The SIGNED
Commitment Letters and forms MUST be mailed to Sports World, Attn: SWFC, 226 Main Street, East Windsor, CT 06088
by the deadline given.
SWFC Commitment Packages
SWFC Commitment Letters will be e-mailed out to players with an acceptance! Players that have accepted positions with
the SWFC must MAIL or DROP OFF the Commitment Letter and a $250.00 deposit by the deadline given in the letter (if
any paperwork is missing, that must be sent as well). A $250.00 deposit is DUE at the time of Commitment for all 2011-
12 SWFC Players.
