         The Lambs came to the islands from Belturbet, County Cavan, Ireland.1

         Children of Samuel and Margaret (Reynolds) Lamb:2

         1. i.    William Lamb
         2. ii.   Samuel Edward Lamb, b. c1832/1835, d. 16 September 1879

         1. William Lamb

         2. Samuel Edward Lamb, born about 18223/1832/18354 in Ireland,5 son of
Samuel Lamb & Margaret Reynolds.6 He was a member of the Anglican Church.7
         In 1857, he was unmarried and a Manager at estate Cane Valley, West End
Quarter.8
         In 1860, he was manager of estate Mon Bijou, in King's Quarter, owned by Hugh

Lang. In the same year, while he was manager at estate Mon Bijou, he had a
relationship with Johanna Christian, who was resident at estate Mon Bijou, born in
about 1835 and a member of the Anglican Church.10
         In 1866, at age 35, he was a bachelor and a member of the Anglican Church.11
On 20th of December 1866, he married Emily Ann Smothergill, aged 26, member of St.

John's Anglican Church in Christiansted12 and the daughter of John Smothergill (c1816-
1858) and Lydia Ann de Windt (1816-1907).13
       Samuel Lamb was listed in 1866, as well as in 1867 & 1869, as a planter at estate
Mon Bijou.14
       By about October 1870, he was at estate Little Princess, as Manager,15 and he
continued as such in 1878.16
       He died on St. Croix on 16 September 1879.17
       Emily Ann Smothergill died in 1912, in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.18

       3. Sarah Lamb was born on 16 October 1860 and was baptized in the
Frederiksted Anglican Church on 23 February 1861.20

        4. William Samuel Lamb, born 17 September 1867, baptized privately by the
Priest from St. John's Anglican Church, Christiansted, 27 November 1867,21 and then
baptized in church, 1 May 1869, at St. Paul's Church, Frederiksted.22
        He arrived in the U. S. in 1888.23
        He married Honoria Agnes McNulty May 1898 in Willimantic, Windham
County, Connecticut, daughter of James McNulty and Mary Ruane.24

Cheney and D. Smothergill, the birth date was given as August 1871.

           He died on 17 October 1950, in Franklin, New London County, Connecticut.25

       5. Thomas Reynolds Lamb, born December 1868,26 he was baptized at St. Paul's
Anglican Church, Frederiksted, on 1 May 1869.27
       He married Catherine Downes, before 1903, and they had three children.28

      6. John Smothergill Lamb, born 21 June 1872, baptized at St. John's Anglican
Church, Christiansted, on 26 June 1872.29

      7. Daniel Edward Lamb, born 5 August 1877, baptized at St. John's Anglican
Church, Christiansted, on 1 June 1878.30
      He moved to New Haven, Connecticut at age 16, in about 1894. 31
      He married in 1899, Nellie E. Sutherland, and they had one child.32
      He died in April 1965 in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut. 33

       1. Robert Boyd Lamb, born about 1816, a native Glasgow, Scotland, married in
Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Christiansted, on 27 June 1839, Ellen McCormick,
b. about 1820 on Puerto Rico, daughter of Daniel McCormick, deceased, and his wife
Cathrine.35
