The conference will be held Holocaust Awareness Institute on Monday, May 8, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Adams Mark Hotel, 1550 Court Place, Denver, CO. culminating with a rally at 4:30 p.m. at the Colorado State Capitol. Co- Dr Maria Yellowhorse sponsors of the event are the Office of Internationalization/University of Denver and the Braveheart Takini Network, Inc Agency for Human Rights and Community Relations/City and County of Denver. Regina Germain The conference, which will feature notable local, national and international speakers in a Rocky Mountain plenary session and panel discussions, will take place to educate Coloradoans about genocides Survivors Center past and present, create awareness in the hope to eradicate complacency among our citizens and Gale Kahn in turn, have citizens take the necessary actions to save Darfur today and help prevent future Kendra Shore genocides. Conference fees of $50 for adults and $20 for students will include continental American Jewish Committee breakfast, lunch and conference materials. Tim Kubik “The Dead Weight of Complacency”, an exhibit presented by the Colorado Coalition for United Nations Assoc. Genocide Awareness and Action and other supporting organizations will premier at the Henry Lowenstein conference. This powerful exhibit travels through a series of genocides that mark the destructive nature of mankind.
