HIGH HOLIDAY SEATING Dear KMS Community, We once again find ourselves about to enter the period of the Aseret Yemai Teshuva (the Ten Penitential Days) followed almost immediately by the joyous Sukkot and Simchat Tora celebrations. Perhaps the juxtaposition of these radically different religious moods and experiences represent much of our lives, during which we go from highs to lows and back again, periods of personal introspection alternating with times of physical and emotional exaltation, from times of contentment to moments of emotional disruption. The common denominators that define and help us to maintain a healthy and stable perspective are the belief in God's Closeness and Care, the support of family, friends and the congregational community, and the fascinating personal journeys that each of us proceed to pursue. May we all have an extraordinary year of health, personal fulfillment, spiritual growth, substantively helping one another, and each in our own way, contributing to making the world that we inhabit a better place. Best wishes for a Shana Tova U'Metuka, Yaakov Bieler MESSAGE FROM RABBI BIELER KMS is holding a Food Drive to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank.
