I have varied my office hours with the intent to accommodate as many student schedules as possible. If all of these time slots conflict with your schedule, please do not hesitate to contact me so that I may find time for you by appointment. Course pre-requisite: 2106 or equivalent Course objectives and brief description This course is the first of a two-part sequence designed to review and expand vocabulary, review grammatical principles, examine them in more detail and apply them in their finer nuances, in order to help you establish a solid foundation for your ability to read, understand, write and speak the French language. We will do this through a variety of communicative activities, contextualized in literary and cultural texts. Other media, visual and audio, will also be used to give you a rich variety of exposure to French input and lead you to communicate more effectively, verbally and in writing, in a French- speaking environment. To this end, the course will be conducted entirely in French and your homework assignments will include practice with audio and video material, as well as writing.
