PROCUREMENT POLICY OFFICE
Circular No. 2 of 2011
Ref : F/PPO/4/1 Vol 4
From: Director, Procurement Policy Office
To : Heads of Public Bodies
Posting of Bidding Documents on Public Body’s website
It has been observed that some Public Bodies publish Invitation for Bids
(IFB) and accompanying bidding documents separately on their websites. While
the Public Procurement Portal has the necessary device to capture the particulars
of bidders downloading the bidding documents, such possibilities might not exist
in the public body’s own website. Thus, in case of issue of any addendum, it
would not be possible to know the identity of bidders who have downloaded
documents and to whom a copy of the addendum has to be forwarded.
2. In view of the above, public bodies are requested to instead create a link to
the Public Procurement Portal and avoid the uploading of notices and documents
separately on their websites.
