DECEMBER 07 DRILL REVIEW
General:
*We were provided a presentation by Brad Beedle and Joe Becker from
Emergency Equipment Management on new equipment for Haz Mat Teams that
their company sells. Yes they were salesmen but it was beneficial to see what else
is being developed. John Boshell had planned to facilitate drill this month but
was unable to attend due to a vehicle breakdown so we went through HM-24, held
a business meeting and adjourned early.
* Dustin Lazzari is researching vendors and prices for the equipment that is being
purchased for SCHMRT by a grant from Tehama County.
* It was suggested that if we need to respond HM-24 during snowy or icy weather
that a request to Cal Trans for a snowplow escort may be a good option.
* Ryan Nardo has developed a SCHMRT webpage in the Redding Fire
Department webpage at the following link: http://intranet/fire/Index.htm Click on
Discipline Specific and Haz Mat. In the future we may post drill information and
upcoming training here. Thanks Ryan.
