Enter here the formula that you define according to the rules specified,
using any of the variables listed, to be applied to each users' checking
account. Anything extra will be stripped out, and variables will be replaced
with the respective variables listed below for each user. Please note that
the table values for checking and savings will be used for C and S, even if
you change them. Because of this, if you want to apply only the values that
you edit directly below, you should use C for the formula for it to take
direct effect.

Checking Account Formula

Enter here the formula that you define according to the rules specified,
using any of the variables listed, to be applied to each users' savings
account. Anything extra will be stripped out, and variables will be replaced
with the respective variables listed below for each user. Please note that
the table values for checking and savings will be used for C and S, even if
you change them. Because of this, if you want to apply only the values that
you edit directly below, you should use S for the formula for it to take
direct effect.

Savings Account Formula

Select the actual awards that you wish to overwrite the values that you set
in the usergroup editor.

Application Awards

Here you select one or more forums that you want the overrides to take
effect in. Disabling post counts in these forums will have no effect on credit
earning, however if you turn off credit earning in those forums, you don't
have to create overrides here. Forum inheritance will not occur, so you
should select exactly which forums to use.

Application Forums

Select the groups that you wish to overwrite the award values that you set
in the usergroup editor.

Application Usergroups

For each combination of forum, usergroup, and award that you select, an
override will be created with this value. For any that exist already, their
value will be changed to this.

Override Value

Forum Overrides allow you to set different values for some or all of your
usergroup awards when within different forums. Simply select which
combinations of forums, groups, and awards, and the values you want to
use for it. The overrides which you have defined will be listed below where
you may delete them. Some overrides may not be taken into effect when
reversing awards given for some actions. If you specify the combination of
an override that you already have defined, the new override will replace
the new one.
Using Forum Overrides

This is the actual time that a drawing will close. The actual time during this
day is at or around midnight, depending on when the daily cron activates.
Even if this date is technically in the past, it is considered active until the
cron finishes. Minimum ticket requirements must be met by this date, or
the invalid drawing protocol will apply.

Date of Drawing

this drawing. You can also prevent usergroups from accessing any
drawings by setting their maximum active drawing ticket allowance to 0.

Excluded Usergroups

This is the actual amount that the jackpot holds currently. You may change
it at any moment, no matter what type of settings that you have. If it is set
to raising type, this amount will increase by the ticket cost paid to enter,
and decrease when someone wins.

Jackpot Value

In order for a drawing to complete, there must be at least one ticket to
draw from. However, you may set the minimum higher to ensure a drawing
that is as fair as you would like. If the minimum is not met, then the
specialty setting option will take effect, such as extending the drawing date
until the minimum is met. You may also specify a maximum number of
tickets for all drawings there, if you do not want the drawings to become
too impossible.

Minimum Tickets for Drawing

If you want this drawing to continue even after a winner is chosen, then
enter the number of days that the new drawing will take place. This will
actually duplicate the settings for this drawing in a new drawing, so as to
preserve the previous drawing's winners and ticket information. The
duplicate will not replace the existing one, even if the existing one closes
later than originally scheduled. Raising jackpot types will have a starting
jackpot of any credits not won from the previous drawing.

Recurring Days

This is the actual amount that users pay to buy a single ticket for entry into
this drawing. Usergroup discounts will affect the actual cost, and if the
drawing is a raising jackpot, the final price is what will increase it.

Ticket Cost

vBCredits natively supports two types of drawing which differ in terms of
odds. Raffle types will select exactly one winner out of all sold tickets, who
gets everything. Lottery types use the range of numbers that you specify in
the specialty settings, and any users (or none) who have that number will
split the jackpot proportional to the number of tickets they had of that
number.

DrThis is the arbitrary label to give for this drawing. It is shown in various
messages and drawing lists. You are encouraged to be somewhat
descriptive should you have multiple drawings running concurrently, so you
can tell them apart.awing Type

Drawing Title

This is essentially a plugin which activates on a per-drawing basis, for
every winner of this drawing (or none). This is actual non validated PHP
code which is simply executed, so it is up to you to ensure that it is safe. It
has access to the $vbulletin variable during the cron run. In addition, $user
and $amount are defined as the userid and the exact amount that they
have won. You do not need to have any PHP code here, and this is meant
for advanced users who might want to expand existing drawings to include
things like merchandise or activate other third party systems.

(Optional) Winner PHP
This setting allows you to make drawings which will suit the competitive
style of your choice. Static is an exact amount which you decide from the
beginning of the drawing, and will not change when people buy tickets or
win, and this value will remain in recurring drawings. Raising type will
increase the jackpot by the cost paid for the tickets, and deduct from the
jackpot any winnings won. Remaining jackpot total will carry over in
recurring drawings.

Jackpot Type

Drawings are optional contests which you create for your forums. Here you
create different drawings with different costs and jackpots. The main listing
shows you at a glance which drawings are coming up for completion, and
which ones have recently completed, among other useful statistical data
and controls.

About Drawings

This vBCredits tool allows you to view all of the deposits and loans that
have occurred on your forums. If you specify deposits or loans to be
moderated in the usergroup settings, then they will not go through until
you accept them here. You may also cancel completed transactions, which
will reverse them and move the transaction into moderation. Denying them
will simply remove them from the listing.

Moderating Deposits and Loans

This vBCredits tool allows you to view all of the donations and awards that
have occurred on your forums. If you specify donations to be moderated in
the usergroup settings, or awards to be moderated in the usergroup or
forum settings, then the transactions will not go through until you accept
them here. You may also cancel completed transactions, which will reverse
them and move the transaction into moderation. Denying them will simply
remove them from the listing.

Moderating Donations and Awards
Before credits are calculated, the totals for each user are set to this
amount. You can use it to give an artificial boost to all users in question, or
leave it at 0 for a true recount.

Base Credits

Calculating current credit amounts requires lookups to various locations in
your database. Generally, many queries at a time will be strenuous to your
server, so you should set a limit on how many users to process. The basic
number of queries per user is 14, although this can fluctuate if you have
third party plugins which activate during the processing loop. Multiply this
number as a guide to determine how much your server can handle or is
permitted to use per pageload.

Users to Process Per Cycle

This option will determine if the credit amounts of users will be added to
the base credits that you indicate, or if it will be completely discarded. Set
this to yes if you want to recalculate referral counts but do not want your
users to lose or alter their totals.

Add Results to Existing Totals

Specify here the awards that you want the system to take into account.
Awards not selected will be ignored. Also, complete histories of credit
earning, such as losing credits from negated actions, are unavailable, so all
calculated amounts are as if they were made from the beginning. Even if
you do not select any awards, this tool will recalculate the number of
referrals which vBCredits needs to calculate referral awards and bonuses.
Note that savings accounts are never touched by this tool, use the <a
href="credits_admin.php?do=users">Modify Accounts by Criteria</a> tool
instead.

Application Awards

While gaining credits is a large part of vBCredits, users will usually have
spent or applied their credits to some other source. Using this setting will
go through the records of each user and deduct (or add) any transactions
that this user has made, such as savings, loans, or the lottery. Third party
systems can also use plugins to check for their own changes, but otherwise
they will not be detectable.

Select all of the usergroups that you wish to have the credit totals of
recalculated. Forum overrides will not be taken into effect, nor user or
usergroup locks, so be sure not to select groups that are forbidden from
vBCredits.

/><br /> For example, the string <i>exam</i> would match
<i>example</i>, <i>anexample</i>, and <i>theexam</i>, but not
<i>exsiam</i>.

User Name Contains

Enter the text that the user's title must contain. This is applicable even if
you don't allow custom user titles, since the user title of every user is
stored with their username, so default group titles would be searched as
well. See <a
href="help.php?do=answer&page=credits_admin&pageaction=users&optio
n=username">Username Contains</a> for more information on the string
matching used here.

User Title Contains

The user must have at least this number of warnings in order to be found.
This criteria can be used in conjunction with the Warnings are Less Than
criteria to create a finite range of warnings to be found. Keep in mind that
if you do use both, this number must be LESS than the Warnings are Less
Than number or no users will be found! (see <a
href="help.php?do=answer&page=credits_admin&pageaction=users&optio
n=warningsupper">Warnings are Less Than</a>)

Warnings are Greater Than or Equal To

The user must have less than this many warnings to be found. This criteria
can be used in conjunction with the Warnings are Greater Than or Equal
To criteria to create a finite range of warnings to find. Keep in mind that if
you do use both, this number must be MORE than the Warnings are
Greater Than number or no users will be found! (see <a

n=warningslower">Warnings are Greater Than or Equal To</a>)

Warnings are Less Than

Enter the string that the user's Yahoo Messenger Handle must contain.
Users without a Yahoo Messenger Handle entered will be automatically
excluded from the results of this search. See <a
href="help.php?do=answer&page=credits_admin&pageaction=users&optio
n=username">Username Contains</a> for more information on the string
matching used here.

Yahoo Messenger Handle Contains

If you have the post award system enabled for anyone, they will not be
able to use it while in this forum if set to yes. If nobody has permission to
use it, then this setting will not matter.

Disable Post Award System

Set this to yes to turn off credits being earned in this forum. If you want to
disallow entire usergroups from earning credits, use the usergroup editor.
If you want to change the amounts that users earn while in this forum as
opposed to their initial usergroup settings, use the <a
href="credits_admin.php?do=forums">Forum Override System</a>
instead. Note that using the mass credit updater will ignore if this forum
has awards turned off or not.

Disable All Credit Awards

This will remove the amount of credits and links from the postbits inside
this forum. This setting overrides the global and usergroup settings, but
you should use those settings if you want to hide credit displays
everywhere or for specific usergroups.

Hide Credit Amounts

If you allow the post award system to work in this forum, and some
usergroups have permission to use, then their post awards will be sent for
moderation instead of immediately awarded. This setting is in addition to
regular usergroup moderation permissions. If nobody has access to the
post award system, this setting can be disregarded.

Moderate Post Awards

Credits are actually stored as double type in the database, so fractions are
frequently awarded either directly in your awards, or in things like interest
percents. However, to keep things consistent, you can specify the number
of decimal points to display for each users' amount of credits. Note that
when users have exactly 0 for their totals, the display will always be 0 with
no decimal points. Also, as this requires a function call, rounding can only
be achieved within code, so some third party addons may not be able to
obey this setting, and show whatever number of decimal points apply.

Displayed Decimal Points for Credit Totals

Whenever credits are displayed publicly, you have the option of showing
either checking amounts, savings amounts, or both combined. This total is
also used when ordering, such as on the memberlist or in the richest user
display. This setting is good if users are hiding a lot of their credits in
savings.
Display Account

This is the main switch for everything in vBCredits. Turning this off will half
everything to do with earning credits except for the general display of
totals, which is toggled in the next option. If the cron goes by while credits
are not active, the actions they were to perform will not be made up, and
they will have to try once the system is activated again.

Enable Credit Awards

Depending on the number of valid referrals per referral point, you may
want to limit the total number of referral points attainable to prevent the
additive referral bonus from accumulating to too high a level. More details
on the additive referral bonus system at <a
href="help.php?do=answer&page=options&pageaction=options&option=cr
edits_refpoints">Number of Valid Referrals per Referral Point</a> setting.

Maximum Referral Points

Negative totals can occur either from direct editing or otherwise reversal of
credits through a post award or action award negation. Here, you can
specify what to do with such totals. If you choose to correct negative
values, they will only appear as 0 until midnight when the cron runs to
actually set it back to 0, which may affect the total throughout the day.

Handling of Negative Totals

Similar to the decimal setting for credit totals, you can specify this setting
for percents. When you have things like tax and interest, you might want
to show a more exact number.

Displayed Decimal Points for Percentages

Throughout vBCredits, there are times when a PM alert is sent to your
users. Enter the username of the user that these messages will come from.
Examples of such messages are linked for you to edit or translate, and if
you would prefer to not send any such notices, do not use any username
at all.

Transaction Alerts

These visibility settings will control who gets to see particular users' credits.
When set to private, users can only see their own credits, and only
usergroups with the appropriate permission will still be able to see
everyone's credits. You can also hide credits within specific forums.

Publicly Display Credits

Many times that a user is referred by someone else, they fail to mention
their referrer, or will even remove their name prior to completion. With this
setting, you can specify a bonus to the users who indicate their referrer,
and they will receive it at the same time that their referrer receives the
credit for getting the referral.

Referee Bonus Credit

In addition to the regular referral award for every valid referral, vBCredits
has a special additive referral bonus, which creates an additive multiplier
based on how many "referral points" that your users have gained. Here
you specify how many valid referrals makes up such a point. Example: your
registered usergroup has a .05 additive referral bonus (5%), they have 11
valid referrals, and you specify 5 referrals per referral point. Since 11 / 5
rounded down is 2, their total referral bonus is 10% (2 * .05), which is
what each of their normal awards will receive an amount bonus for.

Number of Valid Referrals per Referral Point

In order to help cut down on fake registrations to farm referral awards, you
can specify the number of posts that the new referral must have before it
qualifies. Referrals are checked every midnight via the cron.

Referral Validation Posts
In order to help cut down on fake registrations to farm referral awards, you
can specify the minimum reputation that the new referral must have before
it qualifies. Referrals are checked every midnight via the cron.

Referral Validation Reputation

The credits displayed for the user in the navbar are capable of being
refreshed at the number of seconds that you specify, using AJAX. This is
useful in conjunction with other AJAX systems in vBulletin which users are
awarded for, or otherwise live updates when a user gains or loses credits
by someone else while they are logged in. Turn this feature on if your
server can handle it.

Live Navbar Credits Refresh Rate

In order to help cut down on fake registrations to farm referral awards, you
can specify the number of days that the new referral must be before it
qualifies. Referrals are checked every midnight via the cron.

Referral Validation Days

When this is set to yes, it will only add to users' credit counts, otherwise
everyone will be set to zero and then the amounts they should have gotten
will be applied. Users can donate and purchase credits so their totals will
fluctuate, so you may only want to run this when you are just starting.

Add credits to existing totals instead of starting over?

Definition of Active

If you have a designated forum where posts are not counted, you probably
wouldn't want credits to be awarded either, but the option is there
nonetheless.

Award Credit Where Posts Not Counted

This is the user's credits. A user's credits can be artificially inflated or
deflated by editing this field. <br /><br /> Keep in mind that if you update
your users' credits <a href="misc.php?do=chooser"><b>here</b></a>
then all credits will be set to what they would have been if you didn't edit
them here, or if no donations were made or purchased.

Credits

Activity Credit

This is the amount that is awarded when a user joins this usergroup for the
very first time, either by registering, posting promotion, manually changed,
subscriptionand even when a person verifies their email address and moves
into registered. There are some usergroups you wouldn't want to receive
an induction credit, such as banned or awaiting verification, or COPPA.

Induction Credit

This is the credit received for every post. This will not activate when
posting a new thread, or when the forum has post counts disabled while
posting (unless you change this behavior in the global options).

Posting Credit

This is the award someone gets when someone else registers and says
they were referred by them. Be careful with this setting because it is open
to abuse by people creating many duplicate accounts to all refer to the
same person. This action is detectable though.

Referral Credit

This is the credit received for every new thread. This will not activate when
the forum has post counts disabled while posting (unless you change this
behavior in the global options).
